posted a message on Making a LAN server available for in-house multiplayer

There are two types of Minecraft, one is Bedrock, the other one is Java. Bedrock is playable on WIn 10, Xbox One and Mobiles. While the Java can be played on all Windows, Linux, OSX and Free BSD. If you own a Java Minecraft, you can have a free WIn 10 (Bedrock) through this website. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-titles/minecraft-windows-10-edition-faq#a9355224a14d40d7b82608a6d3f9046d

So, there are technicaly three type of ervers. LAN, Realms and Public. Since there are two types of Minecraft, Bedrock players can play with Bedrock while JAva can play with Java. LAN minecraft can be enabled through settings. Realms can be bought through the MInecraft website. Public servers can be installed in Java through https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server or Bedrock by installing PocketMine/Nukkit.

    Hope this will help you!

posted a message on A server maker in Minecraft without using .jar files!

Well, Mojang made realms to make servers easy to run.

I mean, this must be complicated. It has settings just like in server.properties. And also, you need whitelist page, agreeeing to the EULA and others. That's why Mojang did not made it.

    Yes, there are two ways.

Number one, you can export your world either Xbox one or Win 10 via USB.

Number two, if its on Java , here's a link. .Then, transfer it to either Win 10, Java , PE or Xbox One.

posted a message on An update to the Minecraft Forum category structure

Indeed, there is no version called Bedrock Edition. I have seached it. There is only Minecraft:Java Edition, Legacy Console Edition and Minecraft(Bedrock).

What about changing the Pocket Edition to either "Minecraft" or "Minecraft(Bedrock)"?

posted a message on An update to the Minecraft Forum category structure

Since the Better Together Update, Xbox One is joined into the Bedrock Edition. So, all Xbox One forums are under the category "Minecraft Pocket Edition".

I sincerely hope that they can change the word "Pocket Edition" to "Bedrock Edition" since it is now unified and an official name for Pocket, Win 10 and Xbox One.

posted a message on Struggling to start a village!

villagers will mate as long as the population is less than 35% of valid doors, rounded down.

A valid door is any door within the village radius where the number of "outside" spaces within 5 blocks in a straight line on one side of the door is not the same as the number of "outside" spaces within 5 blocks on the other side of the door. A space is considered to be "outside" if it has nothing but transparent blocks above it all the way to the sky.

The game engine periodically takes a census to determine the current population of the village. All villagers within the horizontal boundary of the village and within 5 vertical blocks of the center will be counted as part of the population to determine if continued villager mating is allowed. However, any villager within the horizontal boundary of the village and within the spherical boundary of the village will attempt to enter mating mode as long as there is at least one villager within the boundary. If two villagers simultaneously enter mating mode while they are close to one another, they will mate with each other and produce a child.

The food can only be given to empty inventory villagers.

posted a message on 10 Oldest Bugs that still work now.

    10. Chunks do not delete properly remaining in a newly created world if the same world name is reused

    1. make a superflat world(default)
    2. travel around a bit and if you're lucky you'll find one.

    9. Most text boxes / chat / scroll bars revert when the window changes size or fullscreen mode is toggled.

    1. Press 't' to bring up the console.
    2. Type something but don't send it.
    3. Toggle fullscreen or resize the window.
    4. The text disappears, or reverts to nothing when it should remain.

    8. Digging straight down glitches out the breaking animation (Z-fighting)

When digging straight down the breaking animation glitches out.
It may flicker or not appear at all, but not always.

    7. Faulty fall damage when logging out and logging back in while falling

Logging out and logging back in while falling off a cliff will only make you take the fall damage from the height you logged back in from. This basically makes fall traps useless on single-player maps.

    6. Field of Vision does not turn at all with a turning minecart

When turning my field of vision does not align to the minecart correctly. Its always about 10 degrees off.

    5. Blocks/entities above beds push players out of bed

Trying to sleep in a bed often can cause the player to fall out of it.

    4. Slab & stairs lighting incorrect

    3. Player saved to file earlier then world, duplicating items

First, start a new world and dig up a block. Anything, really.
Next, throw the item on the floor and press esc. When it has saved, pres esc again, then pick it up. Finally, quickly press alt+F4 to close the game, without saving. It saves the inventory automatically, but not the fact that there is no longer the item on the floor. Now, when you log in again, there should be an item in your inventory and one on the floor. Duped.

    2. Stacked minecarts continue momentum when not on a rail

    1. Item drops sometimes appear at the wrong location

    Run in command block...

    summon Item ~ ~1 ~-0.6249 {Item:{id:"stone",Count:1b}}

When an item drop lands on the edge of a block, the client sometimes makes it fall over the edge, while the server leaves it on the edge. Therefor the block drop can appear up to ~250 blocks away (world height). This is caused because the client thinks the drop can fall, and attempts to predict the future incorrectly.
