Um, is worldedit only for servers?
I got the mod working fine on my server, but still can't get it to work on single player world.
I'm on a Mac, there wasn't a mods folder in the Minecraft root folder (see attached image), but I made a mods folder and I put the WorldEdit mod and the Forge file into it, I started up my minecraft and made a new test world to test world edit and it did't work. I'm at a loss to what I've done wrong. :/
Sorry I'm not too familiar with how one installs Forge on a Mac, but the version of Forge you downloaded is an installer, so try running it.
Minecraft doesn't have built-in mod support so Forge is an installer that patches Minecraft to support mods.
By the way, some blocks like wood plank types don't have an easy way to access them... you have to type something like wood:4 where the number corresponds to the type. This is kind of a pain and should be fixed at some point.
I have not gotten around to releasing the 1.8 build yet.
However, for WG, I currently have no plans because it's a real chore to maintain, and at least with Bukkit, there is a stable API that stays the same for several years.

The script is way outdated now. It doesn't work on the current world format.

If you mean https://www.skcraft.com/apply/minecraft/, yes.

Bukkit version handles both // and /. Forge version should too probably, otherwise it appears inconsistent.

Yeah, they have apparently never worked in the Forge version. The code for tree generation was completely missing.
However, I have fixed this for the Forge 1.8 version and you can get the first download listed here: http://builds.enginehub.org/job/worldedit?branch=feature/forge1.8
However, it currently doesn't let you undo trees.
@Thorley_Enterprises Do what LoRaM100 said. worldedit.properties in config/worldedit should have some setting about brush max size.

Try just stonebricks
Quotation marks might work too: "stone bricks"

@BD96: There appears to be a problem with tree generation. I just fixed it BUT currently you can't undo the trees. Try the first download here: http://builds.enginehub.org/job/worldedit?branch=feature/forge1.8

You'll have to install Minecraft Forge: http://files.minecraftforge.net/

That works too -- just newer and a dev build.
