    Seems reasonable enough.

However, wouldn't you have to place it on the outside, where the monsters are coming from? If you're high up, this could be a problem. Also, how do you activate the shutters on the outside if you're still inside your base? The shutters are on the opposite side of the block.

Once pressure plates are running 100% you could attach the mechanism to a plate, hell you could have opening and closing windows then.

here is what I meant by a bisected block. This should be able to be rotated or "Auto rotate" to the environment.

This will add a huge amount of design capacity to the system. Here is a stair edge.

Windows could be "rounded off" and trees could look more rounded, hell all object would be able to look better.

I think I should have been more clear. I meant a have of a standard cube cut on the diagonal. This would allow us to have 45 Degree incline fill in blocks.

    Two simple ideas.

    1) A Half Triangular block cut on the diagonal so that more complex structures can be created. More for aesthetics than game play impact.

    2) Rotation of blocks so I can pick the direction of the block when I place it. Hey I may want to put a forge on the ceiling facing the wrong way :wink.gif: Seriously for the triangular blocks this would be a needed thing.

I will make a couple of graphics to illustrate my point.
