if you have an idea make a new topic but this is alright but how do you craft so add that to the post and make sure it doesn't resemble mine but the idea is good :smile.gif:
I posted it in the same thread because I also had an idea of how to "break down items"
Trying to start a server with my brother. I downloaded the server soft ware and ran it and it says its done and good. So where do I find the IP that I use?
If all the players are inside the home, you need the Internal IP. This can be found in cmd, then typing ipconfig and looking for "IP Address"
If some are outside your home, port forwarding is needed. On how to do this, Google is your friend.
Look at the graphic that you posted, that I quoted. It says that you are forwarding port 25565 to IP 192.168.0.0. That is not a valid IP.
Press Windows Key + r. In the Run dialog box, type cmd and click OK. In the cmd window, type ipconfig. Scroll the output to the top, for something like "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection". There should be a line under that, that starts "IPv4 Address". There's an IP address to the right, that starts 192.168.1. That is the IP address that should be in your router's port forwarding screen.
If this makes no sense, perhaps someone else will help you. I frankly don't appreciate being cursed at all that much.
Once you've done that, you can go to ipchicken.com, where you will get your External IP that other people can connect with. But it will not work until you forward the correct port.
I'm wondering if people would like the idea of having Trap Blocks (Blocks that fall when stepped on) developed and integrated into the Minecraft. I think it's at least a half-decent idea, but I also think it could make the art that is traps too easy. Anyone else mind to pitch a thought? Thanks.
I like the idea, but there would have to be a way of telling it apart from normal blocks (like being a bit depressed apart from normal ground) just so it isn't OP.
No, you put the item in the top slot, the hammer in the bottom, and it spits out the items used to craft it in the squares on the right. The tool materials will have damage, just so you can't use this to have infinite diamond tools.
I thought you could maybe make a decrafting table, like crafting table, but with 4 iron ingots. And you craft hammers, and they would be a kind of tool like pickaxes, and diamond would be faster than iron and it would be faster than wood (obviously).
And then planks, cobblestone, iron and gold ingots, and diamonds would have damage values, so when you use them in crafting, the tool you make will have durability = to the sum of the remaining durability of the tool material.
I need help to get my server running. I want me and my friend to have a private server, but the problem is, we cannot connect with my IP address (Not the 192.168 IP.).. I have proof of Portforward and it should have worked (We also tried with the :25565 at the end of the ip)
Proof of Port Forward:
- Enabled
I Know that it isnt working because Canyouseeme.org doesnt show me. it says
But I am now 100% Confused.
I want to use No-IP But that doesnt work either. I really could use some help, and now I'm out of usable forums at this moment.
You forwarded the wrong IP. Blocking out the internal IP is also useless really, because it is facing the network, not the internet. So if it is shown, no harm can be done. In the "Port Forwarding Rules", the IP that says "192.168.0.0", replace it with the IP address shown in the second picture.
I want to maintain a very small dedicated 24/7 vanilla server. I'm talking about MAYBE 4 people on at one time. Does anyone have personal experience with what the minimum CPU would be? From my research I have a good idea about how much RAM I need, but I don't know about CPU and I don't want to sink any more $$$ into this than I have to.
Thanks in advance!
Pentium 4 is the lowest you want to go, possibly a Core 2 Duo (first generation)

Anyway, the crafting is:

Clear the space after "server-ip=" in server.properties.

It would look like this:
[item] ____[ ][ ][ ]
------ ===>[ ][ ][ ]
[hamr] ____[ ][ ][ ]
And then planks, cobblestone, iron and gold ingots, and diamonds would have damage values, so when you use them in crafting, the tool you make will have durability = to the sum of the remaining durability of the tool material.

Canary development is slower, and there is a slightly smaller plugin selection, but it is much more admin-friendly compared to Bukkit.
