I think there needs to be a global server list with a search function and an add to favorites.
There is, but it is not in game. People have to opt-in with that type of thing. The thousands of private servers should not be automatically listed for any griefer to join and destroy.

I can never seem to download these. I follow all the steps and then the loading screen stops at like 95%, it says Done Loading but it just stays there for like 30 minutes and then it just closes... Smh... If someone can help. That'd be great.
-Thanks

So you replaced the old minecraft.jar in your bin folder of .minecraft with minecraft closed, and did not hit "Force update" at login?

First, any decent server needs more than 1GB of RAM to properly run. Second, it is most likely your internet speed that causes it. It is simply too much for your internet to handle. Go to speediest.net and take the test. Anything below say, 15 Mbps download 2 Mbps upload, and you should not be hosting a server. If you want to host a server still, you cannot have more than 4 on at once without lag. Remote hosting with at least 100/35 Mbps is ideal.
Hope this helped!
Best solution, block TNT, but you didn't.
Next best, use an old backup. (I am guessing you don't have any...)
Last resort, delete the world, and start afresh, this time without the TNT, and with more RAM.

If you really want it, then install something like parallels or similar to run windows for a short time. While I do prefer OS X, windows has some nice features/abilities, and it is nice to keep on hand.

I am sorry, but this is regarded as spam. READ THE THREAD BEFORE POSTING.

Could you (attempt) to include 32x or 64x? This would give artists more space to work with, and get (probably) better results.

If you are going for classic minecraft music, get a bunch of deadmau5 and the songs from minecraft and put them all in a playlist, then, crank up the bass and enjoy!

I like the chest idea, but perhaps there could be a trading system. While this would add a little bit of a RPG feel, right clicking on the merchant and opening a trading GUI would be a nice little addition. With a bit of trading, it could be a bit like the equivalent exchange mod, give 512 cobble, and keep trading it down to a diamond. This way, you could be employed (in a sense) by the village, or you could employ the village miners, and you could use markers and they would either resource mine or mine out the entire area for you. Overall, villages need a way to talk with steve, not just a bunch of squid-men with crossed arms who stay inside of their half-rendered houses.
(regarding the OP, good post)
