You don't haaaave to tear it to pieces very often, I designed most of the areas with multiple approaches in mind. I'm glad you're enjoying the worlds that much though.
I wouldn't mind adding in a few of the new blocks, but I'm not entirely sure what really needs updating, or how I can fix the nether portal bug that seems to have been recently brought to my attention.
The map should still work well on 1.7 otherwise, as far as I'm aware!
You did fine, I think the information was just rather lacking when resource packs first came out, I had the syntax completely wrong and so did Dinnerbone's converter. (Mojang pls.)
SburbCraft for 1.6 is now officially available!
Special thanks to CV97 for some important resource pack editing, solving the problem I was hung up on before.
Because I balanced the map the way I wanted it in the 1.5 version, some of the rebalancing that was present in the newer patches left me befuddled and uninterested for a while. I believe I speak for a certain amount of CTM and other combat-heavy map players when I was rather frustrated at the hunger change especially - there's a lot of battling going on, and it's just plain irritating and sometimes makes things impossible if you have to fall back and eat all the time, not to mention having to worry about whether the player is getting enough food.
I've solved this by adding buff droppers at many significant points throughout the map that hopefully will freeze hunger temporarily. You can find them in Consort villages and before major dungeons. They also provide a temporary health bonus. And to make up for the potion nerf as well, expect to find the Faygo Fairy (read: Gamzee) has blessed your Incipisphere.
SlamBamActionman: Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the map that much. Your post helped inspire me to go through with this stuff.
DvMUIC: Thanks! It's always appreciated when someone spreads the word. Jumped the gun on labeling it ready for 1.6.2 but now it's all set. The OptiFine suggestion is probably a good one, SburbCraft is best played on far render distance whenever possible to help in exploring the lands, and that can be a little taxing sometimes.
EDIT: Please change your link on the site to reflect the new version?
This looks fantastic. The redstone blocks are indeed a little strange but it's not a major issue, they're fine really. Mind sending the pack to me by PM so I can work on it a little?
What about the other animated blocks? They're part of the reason I've been a bit defeated on this, they tend to just straight up refuse to load or don't animate. Spoilers for those who haven't finished the map.
The starry and Lord English quartz blocks, and the Genesis Frog beacon.
Love this mod! Really enjoy the little details added to keep things interesting.
There is one problem: Nitro Creepers and HeatScar spiders. There are way too many in the Nether!! I'm running custom mob spawner for DrZhark's Mo' Creatures mod too, which should let me disable them from spawning entirely... But I can't.
Is there any way to add a config option to enable/disable the mobs? I like them, but there's way too many to make the Nether viable without quantum armor (and by then you don't even need to be in there).
Is there a fix for this at all? My game doesn't even spawn ghasts or pigmen anymore because it's too busy spamming those spiders.
If you want to play SburbCraft now, it's been brought to my attention that you can use MultiMC or other programs to run Minecraft 1.5.2, which it will work perfectly in, instead of the current version.
Oh don't worry, I've seen worse... and it's not a problem at all!
If Homestuck ends before you're done, it won't be because you carked it too many times, it'll be because you've been posting pretty rarely.
The official 1.6 resource pack for SburbCraft will be released in a week or so.
My main computer with some of the things I want to implement is currently in for repairs thanks to derpy technicians.
I'm glad to hear people are still having fun with the map regardless, though!
Casey_benda: I'm glad you're having fun, and I hope the resource pack thing works out too! It's being worked on, but I've got some computer troubles that might hold it back slightly. Parkouring up the stairs is cheating, unless you're just doing it to help place the higher blocks out of order or something. Besides, why would someone want to rob themselves of a huge chunk of the experience?
liboy: There are three aspects in each land. If I remember right, those two are in LOWAS and LOLAR respectively.
Thanks for the suggestion, just tried that, but I'm having the same issue with the converted one. It just won't let me select it. It shows up on the menu just fine, but can't be clicked.
Go with 1.5 because this place is too busy for anyone to give a squeakbeast's hindquarters about helping me fix the resource pack that I have no clue what's wrong with it.

It won't be Homestuck themed, but it'll be unique.

I've gotta figure out 1.6 for the sake of this, though.... http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=pony
