This map is amazing. Me and my friends are going to make a video series and are wondering if we can use your map if we give you the credit for the map. Please reply soon.
This is great stuff! I wish I had a fraction of your architectural talent. I like your patched together texture pack. I've been thinking to do the same thing, combining my HD texture pack of choice with bits and pieces from other packs. Is it a difficult process? Are there in gotchas to watch out for?
Its pretty easy, Just grab a program like gimp or paint.net (there free) and then its just a matter of copy and pasting the textures you want onto your mix pack terrain.png. You can even edit the textures yourself such as simply changing the colours or even combining certain textures.
I find it really fun to do for some reason, so I have a few versions of my pack such as a creative build one, a survival/single player one and a modpack one.
There's nothing you really need to look out for, just keep regular backups whenever you change something and make sure textures and the same resolution size.
Hey can i make this into an adventure map?? i will credit you and everyone included on the map and i will include the texture pack and credit everyone on that to.
Haha yeh its a mix I have been collecting for a while, nothing but the best of the best, all of that credit has to go to the amazingly talented artists it all came from though
I know this topic is a bit old, but can I use 1 of your COOL creations as spawn/town for my multiplayer server? They look so awesome and I am searching for something like this for a long time and this is just the right one! and you will get in the 'credits' of the server But think about it
If you credit me feel free to use it, Hope you and your server enjoy it
I haven't been playing minecraft much lately, so building is still slow.
Here's a bit of progress on the elven forest I started. I had alot of help from my friend Pinkiestar who made nearly all the tree's.
I also made a few minor tweaks to some of the existing things i wasn't quite happy with too, like the first dungeon.
@oddworld Would I be able to modify some of the buildings and add some other stuff and post it on the Minecraft Forum? I would add stories, Roleplaying, A economy, Npcs, Writable books, and other stuff like that. I might keep some of the quests and buildings but make most things different. I also thought of a name; World Of Terra.
I really love this map and would be honored to use it sometime later. What got me demotivated though was I noticed it wasn't a real world at all. Just a person made land mass on a flat land for single-player. Would I need to use McEdit to get in into a default generated world? Or do you have a download for that? Once again Great Job!
Yeh the whole land mass is custom made, i don't have a download for it on a normal world but could easily make one.
If i could find a seed with a large ocean biome and place the map on there then it would look alot more natural and wouldn't need the terraforming on the edges to make it blend.
I will work on getting a link up for this sometime tomorow after work, or you could just do it yourself if you have mcedit. And im glad you like the map
Just dumping a few different builds I have done. Nearly all these buildings were made on a small roleplaying multiplayer server, if anyone would like to join you can apply for a whitelist here: http://alteria.enjin.com/home
It's a lovely server I spend most of my time on nowdays with alot of great mature players, so I would love to see some of you guys come on and check out what I'm building, or even help out if your a talented builder.
I don't have as much time to spend building now it's getting close to Easter because of work, but I am still going to be working on the town, even if it is a very slow process.
A small house I quickly built to test out the new wood for the interiors.
These are a few house interiors from Crowshire
Some rapids i terraformed for a bit of fun, and a random pretty tree.
Here are a few Desert City themed buildings. A library, a theater and a small section of some of the streets.(Pinkiestar helped out building the theater and Libary. <3 Pinkies PMC Profile )
ofc i will, and i will add goblins to the forest, and some sandn in the desert, and i will also populate arkosia and the mod can be found here, right now, its single player, he said that multiplayer function would be the last thing he adds: http://www.minecraft...l__custom%20npc
i just combined the two, i saw the perfect opportunity and i will make a vid of crowshire and arkosia also haha
(bearded children ftw haha)
Sandmen** >.>
I'm looking forward to the video's of Crowshire and Arkosia, and ill have to check out that mod for myself looks like alot of fun.
[new] Hey, i made the vid i promised, here u go sry about the bad quality and stuff lol
Wow man! That was absolutely amazing, honestly i was expecting just some static npcs stood around, but you made them move about, talk, give quests and even trade. Would be great having something like that setup on a server. Is that mod just a singleplayer mod or can it be used on servers?
(btw loved the bearded children and mass effect dialogue text!)
Will you be adding npc's to Crowshire too? That would be quite a challenge considering how big it it
ahh, thank you my good fellow, i used optifine instead lol, and btw, i LOVE this map so much
and, that nord vilage thing: HOW THE HECK DID YOU MAKE THAT MOUNTAIN URSELF!!! you are officially my hero!
and i took up shelter in one of the random tents in the forest haha
ohh, i forgot, i also populated the spawn town with the custom npc mod :DDDDD
and props to the quick response
Im glad you like it!
I custom terraformed the whole map, I used worldpainter to make the whole continent, and then i use worldedit to create the more detailed area's in game. In not fantastic at it, but i just picked up what i needed to know from youtube tutorials lol.
Would be awsome to see my town populated with an npc mod too!

The server is a roleplay server that is hosting my medieval map if anyone would like to come join you can find the details here:
what is up with the "install the patcher noob" for the water and lava and fire texture? in very confused lol
For any texturepacks above the default 16x16 resolution, you need to patch your game so the lava/water animations work and so bricks and a couple of items don't look wierd.
Caves of the Forgotten has a massive void hole in it in 4.5, looks like the area was just put in one block to low
God dammit, thanks for pointing that out lol, i could have sworn I did a testplay of everything before i uploaded the map. Guess i missed that dungeon.
I'll be sure to fix that next time i do some work on the map. for letting me know.

Yeh I don't mind you doing that, would you be able to stick a link to my other thread though somewhere in the post as credit?
The other thread is http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/383237-oddworlds-medieval-map-wip-v4/
Thanks and I'll look forward to seeing what you do to the map

You can download the patcher here: http://www.minecraft...-hd-fix-234-01/
Its pretty easy to use and instructions on how to use can be found in the thread.
I tried to keep the town nice and bright to look at, even though medieval is known for its bleak style.
Thanks for the compliment

Thanks for this, exactly what I was looking for, a huge village with a forest biome right next to it
