I've done so on more than one occasion now. It requires a but toone of obsidian which is a REAL pain in Survival. That said an Obsidian Farm is pretty straight forward and once you get an E. V U.III Diamond Pick the 1500 odd Obsidian you need to make an efficient and effective Overworld Gold Farm takes a solid 4 hours with a couple of people!
Skills, High Level understanding of redstone circuits and have build multiple advanced circuits in a server based environment.
Experience: Chief of Staff in OddWorld on PS3 (25 regular players)
PSN: OddHawk
How Active: As often as I can -- 3-6 times a week 2-8 hours at a time
I have built many high level redstone circuits including: 3 wide furnace doors, industrial auto smelters, shops, reward systems, pvp arenas, card entry jeb doors, Enchantment selectors, Extreme volume Auto Sorters with rail and chest input. I also have the destinction of making a villager market in a map with ZERO villages.
If you have any questions just ask. I am sure I will be more than helpful to your community
I'm still learning myself. sometimes I spend hours trying to get something to work only to realize that I have screwed up a simple RS NOR latch or put the items in the wrong hopper of a hopper timer.
The beauty of Redstone is there is always a better way of doing things if you have the patience and the know how.
Take for instance Etho's Hopper Clock. Brilliant Redstone invention. Amazingly versatile and pretty simple to make.
Downside being if you wanted it to be silent it was massive.
Then along comes hfog and makes it super small (3x3x3+output) and silent. The old one was only 2 high but 6X6 or something.
This has become my goto clock when you want a precise time (within 0.7 seconds)
I'm not sound on HOW alot of this works, but what I can do is teach you how to create basic circuits that when you make bigger machines or contraptions you notice them.
EG in FedX's 3 wide Furnace Door. I was noticing simple "mini cuircuits" I like to call them.
like a monostable circuit and a TFlip Flop as he was blocking it out.
But for sure add me and if we catch up we catch up.
I am looking forward to spending a little more time on Rice's World (Thanks for that) Maybe we catch up there and you can give me a hand with the plans I have there.
The whole card access door is good fun to make and functional, auto furnace is handy when smelting and if you attach it via rail to auto sorters it gets very cool very quickly.
Enchantment selectors, auto farms (chicken is the easiest for ps4)
villager selector, Jeb doors and that's before you start thinking trade centres, shops or reward systems.
