    do the spawn number options work properly? when i set the spawn frequency of ALL creatures to 1, and the max spawns really low, i still get big groups of animals.

    EDIT: another quick note...in SMP, with all spawns set to 1, i get an EXTREME amount of polar bears...everywhere. when i turn polar bears off, i get a ton of deer. so, something weird's goin on here!

    assuming you have the new version, you can just drink straight from a water source (right click the water when your hands are empty).

    i thought i'd mention something else -- hopefully that hasn't already been mentioned. it seems that the new tools are inordinately powerful. for instance, i was able to make a reinforced stone pick immediately upon starting a new game (just need some stone -- not hard to find at all), and it allows for mining at a speed almost comparable to a diamond pick! also, it does more damage than a regular iron sword! is this intentional?

    i like this mod just because you can get bigger and better tools to use. the whole dwarven theme doesn't appeal to me, which is kind of a shame, because these expansive ideas really need to be incorporated into the base minecraft world. so long as this allows the OPTION of using wooden tools, i will keep downloading new versions. good work.

    a couple mods that are compatible that i use with survivalism (these mods do not overwrite any of the same class files -- so i guess that doesn't necessarily mean they're 100% compatible):
    mo' creatures (this appears to remove the mod menu options for survivalism -- these can be changed directly in your mods folder, though)

    unfortunately that mod is for 1.5 only. the world generator really does place WAY too much water. all the maps look like hundreds of islands scattered around an ocean.

    so if i understand this correctly, this mod is randomly generating dungeons for the world discovered so far, right? so if i have a fairly unexplored world, and then place 6 dungeons, they'll all be in the same small area, correct? if so, that's kind of a shame.

    haha, rather than delete the save thing, i just installed your test version of 1.4 and was able to reincarnate myself! so it's not really cheating!
