posted a message on Server Deathmatch Competitors Wanted!

Hello, I am ninjajmm, owner of the CarlCraft Realms server. We are hosting an event this Saturday (September 2, 2017) to commemorate the birthdays of many of our staff (including my own), and another amazing year on our small server. The contest will be an Ultra-Hardcore styled survival contest with several game changing items and locations to make the game more interesting.

The map is a 1100x1100 limited area. Most of the map is a city (graciously provided by the builder, Epicsawrunner... you should check out his builds!) that has many secrets, hidden loot, and hobos. Yes, hobos seem to be the only inhabitants of the city, but don't worry, they will not do you any harm... hopefully. The contest begins on a small boat just off the coast of the city. When the game begins, players will be allowed to leave the boat and given a few items to start them off. After a two minute peace period, pvp will be possible and player will have to compete to be the last player alive. In true ultra-hardcore fashion, whoever dies, will die permanently. Your choices from there will be to spectate the rest of the game in spectator mode, or leave. Exceptions will be made if something dumb happens, for instance, an obvious command malfunction. The game may take a fair amount of time, as there will be no name tags, however, we will try to hurry it along with events like border shrinking and affecting all players with glowing. Also, I cannot guarantee there will not be any trolling from spectating Admins. I will try to keep trolling to a minimum... nothing more than maybe a missing piece of wood or two. The winner will be crowned "Ultra Deathmatch Champion" and all the glory that comes with it.

As for the server rules, we only ask that you obey the following- no hacking or cheating and respect other players respectfully. For instance, if someone kills you, acknowledge that it is only a game and reply with "Good game, fellow competitor. You have bested me.", or something polite and not angry-like. Try to avoid that feeling of tenseness and rage if something doesn't go your way. After all this is a celebration of... celebration and happiness... and the best way to celebrate happiness, is with a fight to the death, of course! Come lighthearted and optimistic! Man, at this point I feel like I'm reading a dictionary.

Any violation of the rules or disrespect will result in, of course, a ban from finishing the competition. Also, we should probably mention that the map is very large and has many commands that may cause lag, so if your computer can't handle a normal Hunger Games server, you probably can't handle this. I will admit, however, that I will be playing on a laptop this Saturday. So whatever.

The event begins at 1:30 (Atlantic Standard Time). At about 1:00, you will be invited to the server and allowed to join the world. The longest the deathmatch will go to is until 4:00, maybe 5:00. All we need to allow you to join is your username so we can invite you to the Realm! We only need seven players, and we will let everyone know who has been selected before Saturday on this thread. No other communications, such as Skype is needed... just a regular ol' game of pvp.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

Man, I wish people were more interested in stuff like this! I am the only person I know who actually likes to write stories using a book and quill...and in all honesty, probably the only person who reads them. Sad but true.

From what I've discovered, the "LeftHanded" tag applies to all mobs. So to answer my own question, yes, mobs like endermen can spawn with left hands as their main hand.

Or you could do a single repeating command block containing "/execute @e[type=snowball] ~ ~ ~ summon fireball ~ ~ ~ {direction:[0.0,0.0,0.0],ExplosionPower:1}", however it wouldn't be as much as a grenade as it would be a fireball that you can throw.

posted a message on Concerning Left Handed Mobs

Do all mobs have a chance to spawn with their left hand as their main hand, or just mobs like skeletons and zombies? I am making a map with custom mobs, and in order to swap out the mob with my custom mob, the command finds a mob with a left hand, however, I would like to know if mobs like enderman spawn with left hands.

posted a message on Mobs not staying on teams

Hello, I am working on a command that lets you use shulkers as a sort of mobile support for PVP. You buy them in a spawn egg and they are put on your team so they are friendly to you, but not to the other team. However, I have found that if you log off of the server for a while and rejoin, then the shulker will have left your team and will start attacking you. This does not only seem to happen to shulkers, as I have also been attacked by blazes, skeletons, and zombies who are supposed to be on my team when I relog. They are friendly when first spawned, but leave the team when I leave the server for a long period of time... what is the problem here? This is the command I used-

    /give @p spawn_egg 1 0 {EntityTag:{id:"shulker",Team:"Steel",Color:14}}

Is there something wrong with this or is it a bug?

posted a message on Custom Loot Tables- Not working

Hi! I Have been working on a map where you can buy items called "loot crates" that give you good items if you are lucky. I made a custom loot table, but I think something is wrong with it, as when I use the loot table on a chest, the chest is empty. Other loot tables seem to work, just not my custom one.

This is the custom loot table:

posted a message on Minecraft Minigame- Last Villager Standing, the Villager Simulator!

    LAST VILLAGER STANDING

    INTRODUCTION:

Hello! I am ninjajmm, owner of the CarlCraft server, and I have made this 1.10 map to simulate the life of a villager... you might as well call it "Villager Simulator". This map was contributed to and tested by Fiery__Phoenix, RoadrunnerJJJ, GIblock, Jaerwin02, and Unikitty12345, or team CarlCraft. Your main goal is to be the Last Villager Surviving... Which brings us to one of the best part of this map- THIS MAP WAS MADE FOR MULTIPLAYER! Though you can play Singleplayer, it is not very fun (The normal villagers don't last too long). You must trade, farm, and survive the night to become THE ULTIMATE VILLAGER!

    Gameplay and features:

You (and the other players) are given kits at the beginning of the game, some emeralds, bread, and three tools used for mining certain crops. You become a villager. Ok, it's some armor and a head auto-equipped to you... but it's the best I could do, and it's still crazy fun! To fully simulate the behavior of a villager, you cannot hurt other mobs or players and you are unable to mine blocks besides crops. You also can't use helmets and bows... two things that really ruined the "villager experience". This village is based off of the 1.8 village version (gravel paths, no beetroot), so please excuse me for not updating the village to a 1.9 styled village (personally, I like the gravel paths anyway :P ). If I update this map someday, I will be sure to add an option for paths. The map comes with a shop, with different items that link to different abilities such as easter eggs, summoning iron golems, wolves, or even becoming an Iron Golem, which allows you to kill certain kinds of mobs. Fiery__Phoenix was sure to even add his own little customized house, along with a couple little instant-death traps. Speaking of which, on the subject of death... the game is... HARDCORE, because if you die, you are set into spectator mode FOREVER... or until you backup the map... sadly this map has no automatic reset, so make sure you have a backup or an extra copy of the map if you want to play a second time. OH! Speaking of traps and dying, the "chaos center" building is still being worked on, as if you buy the lever and place it, nothing happens. But you don't have to tell your opponents that. >:) The map is FILLED with all sorts of command block- powered features. There is also a work-in-progress hard mode, but it is a bit glitchy (in 1.8 it would make arrows fall from the sky, but that doesn't seem to work anymore), so I suggest you just play in normal mode. There are a couple hidden easter eggs, such as a decoy of Fiery__Phoenix and my hut! There is also an egg dispenser and a- WAIT! Maybe you should just experience the map for yourself! :D Go teach those Squidward look-alikes who's boss!

    HAAAAAVE FUUUN!
