It's just a few things I liked mashed together for now. I'm actually makeing my own 512x pack. Still working on the concept details. In episode 4 (will be released in a few hours on youtube) you will see some better textures from other authors and a few mods that make the game look better.

I have been playing minecraft since the beginning of X's series.
My Youtube account was made in April 2006.
I just started uploading HD videos recently.
My channel is updated daily.
i was referencing what happened to me so u could relate, lava is evil, there should be some sort of checkpoint for inventory, chest mean nothing when your trendging through vast caves or traveling across miles of land...
Lava is inanimate. It can't be evil. There should not be a checkpoint for inventory: You should be careful and accept the penalties that, reasonably enough, are a result of BURNING ALIVE.

yes but just cause u spawn closer, doesnt mean that the lava didnt eat all of your stuff...
Yeah. So? You fell in lava. Lava burns your stuff. That's the game. Deal with it. This is just another pansy handout thread.

Most of you can relate to losing all your stuff to lava from either an overflowing pit, over/underestimated jump, or unfilled in floors. Okay so I saved and logged off standing on some obsidian. When I logged back in I found myself drowning in a TON of lava... I lost over a weeks worth of materials including more than 25 diamond, 2 full stacks of hardened iron stacks (the kind where u smelt 9 bars to make 1 block), alot of gold, all my tools including diamond pick, diamond sowrd, and a diamond shovel. Lava is the most deadly thing in the game, even on peacfull if you fall into a lava pit for whatever reason you are doomed and you lose ALL of your stuff you have farmed (possibly even from miles away).
So HERE IS MY SUGGESTION: You know how the bed is SUPPOSED to reset your spawn point? (probably will be hot-fixed to work soon). Well I suggest that when you die, you have an option to revert back to your last checkpoint (the last time you properly used the bed). You would lose any item you had obtained after that point but it's worth it because otherwise in the lava situations, where everything on you is burned to a crisp, never to be seen again, you would be losing tons of farming hours.
Im sure it wont take long to program. Just have it record current materials, current generated land(if needed), and the time/date you slept.
ps. sorry for all the spelling and grammer mistakes....
To all you saying gold is a useless material: this is not so. It does have one use, however it is already being replaced by redstone in this game. If you haven't guessed from the last statement: It's a GREAT conductor. truthfully, we would be way better off smelting all our gold jewelery down in real life and using it for electronics purposes. Silver is also a great conductor, and aluminum too, but aluminum has issues were when it oxidizes it's resistance spikes, which causes heat and fires.
lol if i remember correctly, copper is the best, not 100% sure
