Learn the GLSL coding language, and use your knowledge of how that works to rewrite the things that are broken so that they work with the new shader mod.
Other than that, wait for those who are doing just that to finish what they're doing. Things seem to move quickly here, though some bugs get no attention (The bright world bug I and others have had. I have not seen anyone post a solution to it yet), the shaders themselves popped up quite quickly in the first week, and I'm thinking more will soon.
Ah. I was hoping it had changed format and there would be a simple copy paste fix. I guess I'll just wait because someone will have what I want before I ever learn GLSL.
Anyone working on SSAO?

i have tale of kingdoms but still i need help
Tale of Kingdoms is exactly what you're looking for. Even if it doesn't have all the features you want yet, his is going to get done faster than someone that starts off fresh right now.
Dec 3, 2011You would be ridiculously limited when using a mod maker. Java's not that hard to learn enough to make a simple item with ModLoader. Take a look at some simple Java tutorials online, then check out the tutorial section we have here on the forums. That should be more than enough to get you started on some simple items.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
Dec 3, 2011So I threw together a few pngs in the meantime, and I've decided to release what I've made. Be sure to tell me how it could be improved.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
Here it is.
Just extract that and dump everything into the jar like usual. Requires ModLoader.
Dec 1, 2011Okay, I'm finished. Once you get me the fixed/finished images I'll release it.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
I threw this together real quick. It's supposed to be oil. It kinda sucks, but that's what I meant by transparency and dpi.
Dec 1, 2011Did he make those in MS Paint? There's no transparency enabled and .png is a much better format than .jpg. Also, they don't really seem to fit in with Minecraft's style. Minecraft has hard outlines around the edges without any alpha compositing. Use Paint.net or something to make the pixelated graphics.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
I'll still use these if you want me to (thought not without enabled transparency, without that there's a white box around them), but in my opinion, getting rid of the alpha and switching to .png format would help a lot.
Nov 30, 2011Just a quick update: I've finished the mechanics, so all that's left is the graphics. I'll try my best to throw something together in Photoshop. It's actually a lot of fun in creative mode to just fly around and fire-bomb everything. :laugh.gif:Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
EDIT: Just noticed you replied. Whenever you get the chance, send me what your friend made (whenever they do it) and I'll out it all together. Make sue it's 16x16 and has transparency enabled (no Ms Paint or something).
