    Well, there is no rounded "objects" in Minecraft 'with' curves. 128x does not provide curves, either (or higher texture packages for that matter). It's just a flat image 128x128 pixels to allow more detail. If done right it looks nice, if not it looks like crud. But if it's not your flavor, use what you want. That's why God made MODS.

    When Notch makes the game standard 64x, we'll have buckets for your tears ready. (no he did not say this before you start in. I would find great humor if he ever did though)

    but I highly doubt this game will remain at 16x from Notch forever, but I do believe he will offer different package sizes for players in the future.

    I didn't really feel like answering his question directly due to the fact there are already 256x256 textures in this forum. All he needed to do was download the texture packages and he would have a template to work off of.

    that is ugly...but there's only so many ways you can take a 16x texture package and modify it. They all look the same to me: ugly. You can't take simple and make simple look better, it's just impossible until you go above restrictions.
