I want to play on this server because I enjoy roleplaying and find it incredibly difficult to find a game that can provide both a world that can be manipulated and one that takes itself seriously. I was on another server before that also had medieval roleplay, but is now unfortunately dead or dying due to inactivity.
Backstory: Born in the desert to two members of a small village, cleverly constructed to withstand the harsh winds and their incessant battering of the people living there. As most healthy boys in his society, he was trained to defend himself from a young age due to constant water raids from neighboring sietches, or desert villages. Once he had grown, Liet became a water gatherer for his tribe. This role placed much pressure on him, as a large part of the clan were reliant on what water he had fought for or found and brought back. At the age of 17, Liet was becoming quite the fighter and had made his tribe quite rich in water. However, wealth often comes with consequences. One such consequence was that his tribe had attracted the attention of many other tribes who often had hundreds die off due to thirst.
A day came when Liet's tribe had met it's last day. His mother and father had died during the fighting, already old and withered, and Liet had escaped with severe wounds. Stumbling onto the open dunes, he blacked out due to blood loss. He awoke to find himself on a bed, which was rocking back and forth, as if he was on a boat. He had been taken as a slave by a passing caravan in the desert. Knowing he had no way to escape, Liet awaited until the boat had reached shore, all whilst encountering severe sea sickness. Upon arrival, he was taken to a plantation along with several other testificates and fed to make sure he had the strength to work. During the time he served, he had formulated a plan. Two years had now passed and he still had many questions. Was this the land that the priests of his tribes had spoken of? It was all still strange to him, but his mind stood focused on escape.
One night, Liet had managed to take a small farming tool and sharpened it to a point. Silently murdering the guard stationed outside of his slave shack, he took his costume and traveled to the wild. A new chapter had begun, and he knew so little about it.
Plans on the server: Explore and learn about the world, whilst letting my character naturally develop and choose his own path based on his history. I would like to maybe become a sell-sword or assassin. I would most certainly never settle down or do anything passive. I would mostly just try to get by, considering how I left off.
I've been poking around some old packs and I can't find the transparent side grass for the old grass textures. I assume since you said greyscale, I should just pop the sidegrass texture into Paint and make it black and white?

I feel so honored having something I posted on the front page of my favorite texture pack's thread. Anyway, they have some greaaaaaat stuff over at /r/minecraft, everyone that loves minecraft should at least check it out.
I haz question. You being the amazing artist you are, why aren't there any custom paintings in your pack. The original minecraft paintings are great and all, but they don't really fit your pack (so they aren't that great at all, sorry notch.).
Just saying. Please consider doing something for dem paintings.
You are the almighty and powerful Cheesus. I mean, you made gravel look pretty. Thats awesome.
The dirt also totally looks like blocks of chocolate cake. Which is also flippin' awesome. I tried to eat it, didn't end well. Pretty much the only texture pack ever, aside from Xaiwaker, that made me hungry for chocolate cake. I don't know if you intended that, but still, awesome pack. Even though the gravel looking pretty isn't a bad thing, it just shouldn't look like something I could eat. The fact that your cake looks more delicious than ACTUAL cake is just ridiculous. I'm going to go to the store now and buy some cake.

Aside from all the blocks looking like incredibly sexy food, I did enjoy the pack for it's lighthearted mood. I compare most packs to the plain minecraft for a "grime" test. While the original minecraft is dirtier and grittier, your pack is silk smooth and just feels right. I love the way the glass texture has that little glare on it. It's the little things on the pack that truely make it shine from other simple packs. The ores look phantastic (ph intentional), and make it easy to identify them without having them get in your face or look like a gigantic black raisin sticking out of a grey surface and screaming "I'M COAL, PLZ MINE MEH." into your ear. Well done, can't wait to see where you'll take this.

How long have you played Minecraft? : I found out about it last summer and played it for countless hours in classic mode until I watched X's Minecraft series and decided to buy the game.

The new and the old grass seem to overlap. This doesn't happen with any other texture I've changed. Any idea whats wrong?

Go to art folder of frenden's texture pack with the pic of the paintings.
rename the new paintings kz and make sure they're in png format.
delete the original png file of the old minecraft paintings and replace with trapiki's paintings.
tada. should work.
