posted a message on f3 says 120 fps, but it feels it like 20.
This is an issue I've been having for a few months now. My computer is capable of maxing out the game and keeping above 60 fps under normal conditions, and it usually just stays at 120 (I cap it there), but for whatever reason, the game is very stuttery, and it feels like a framerate lower than 30. This is the only game that ever happens with.

I normally use two monitors (main 1600x900 and secondary 1280x1024). The reason I say this is because when I unplug the secondary monitor, the issue goes away for a few minutes, but it does come back fairly quickly.

I assume this is some form of screen tearing, but I thought that only happens when you have framerates that aren't multiples of 30. If the game can't keep a constant 120, I'll turn the cap down to 90, and if it can't keep that, I turn it to 60. And when I initially lock it at 60 fps, it feels like I'm getting 15-20, but closer to 15. At 120 fps, it feels like 20-60, depending on what I believe to be loading chunks, even when the framerate stays locked at 120.

The only mod I use is OptiFine 1.7.4 HD D1, and all the graphics settings are maxed out with the sub-menus set as follows: Quality, performance, details, animations, other.

And lastly, the specs of my PC are as follows: i5 2430m, Geforce 525m, and 6GB DDR3 RAM (with the default JVM for MC). I use Java 7 and have 64-bit Windows 7.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I run max settings at 200 fps on my crappy Inspiron with an i5 2430m and Geforce GT 525m with 6 gigs of RAM. You should be fine.

    posted a message on Clay Soldiers Mod v. 3.0.0-alpha.3 (MC 1.12.x) / 2.0.0-beta.2 (MC 1.7.10)
Well I come back to this mod after using it so long ago (about a year now) thinking I'll get straight back into it after some new sparked inspiration, and I come back to it being in alpha with almost nothing working because 1.6 broke literally everything. GG

Hmm, maybe I get get one of my old .jars with everything installed to play nice with the new launcher just so I can satisfy the urge to play this again.

EDIT: Nope, I think 1.2.5 may not like the format of files that 1.7.2 uses for single player worlds, because it crashes every time I click "single player", and gives me a crash report I do not understand because I do not know Java. GG again :P

posted a message on Can I Use 1 HDD for Playing/Recording Games?
Yes, you can, but over time it will significantly slow down your main drive, which you do not want. I personally did this for a year in my laptop (which, granted, had terrible build quality), and the drive slowed down so much that I could no longer record to it because it couldn't write the file fast enough for it to be above 20 fps (which is bad). If it's in your budget, I recommend getting this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FQNLR6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's a very fast, affordable, and compact USB3 drive that can hold more than enough footage at one time. Using this will assure you do not damage the performance of your internal drive, which will make your computer last a lot longer between OS reinstalls.

Today I show you a very fast and compact sorting cell design that is infinitely tileable in any direction. It's also very survival friendly assuming you wait until you're truly settled before you build it :)

In this series, I will be mixing tutorials, timelapses, and a barrage of other things into one fantastic series of epic builds. Hi there. This series is a bit of an interesting one. It's in hardcore mode with no natural health regen, and to make it harder, it's set to amplified terrain generation, so getting around will be difficult. Plans are to kill the dragon and a wither, so hopefully we make it out alive. Be sure to follow the series and tell your friends! :D

If any of you talented graphic artists out there would like to paint me a nice thumbnail for the series, it would be much appreciated! I'll give full credit and a shoutout to your channel (if you have one) in the description of the videos. Thanks! IGN is mdog_95 if you need the skin.

    Quote from SnappCraftForums

What would you do if Mojang was bought by EA?

No more than five people would be able to log on at a time. The rest of the people would be put on a countdown timer that goes up to 2 hours before it tells them to try again later.
