If you can refer me to a good guide on it I'm fairly sure I can figure it out. I've used SCCS systems before - I'm just brand new to git (except to retrieve source). I've wanted to get the source up there and use a build system of some kind for a while, just haven't done it.
Something else I plan to do is do a comprehensive write up on modding Minecraft using Forge. I realize that this might be of no use to anyone, but it will help me verify that I understand things.
I am trying to start learning Java myself to code some mods for my own server and this would be so awesome that words couldn't describe.
Hey KDX, I updated my Mindcrack to v7 and also installed the latest version of Necessities on it (as well as re-installed Powertools).
We're having trouble using the /delhome command, here's the pastebin of the error the server console gets when we try to run the command:
I'm running Mindcrack v.6 on a 1GB 10 Slot server, the only other mod I have is a chunk-protection API + mod: Powertools. http://powerbeat.org/minecraft/server_mods/ they have some kinks they need to work out, but it's a nice chunk protection mod.
Thinking of switching over to fihgu's if that's something that you use and that works in unison with Necessities.
/help still doesn't work.
Sorry to sound like an old record, but the mod is just absolutely perfect in every other sense. It'd just be nice to know what's at my disposal without scourging through the multitude of forum topics I have bookmarked .
That made perfect sense to me. Unfortunately I've seen the results of that and it leads to a problem that most servers are unwilling to deal with. Mods get really busy when people want to change their nicks. I've played on servers that handle it both ways and have generally found that being able to set ones own nick seems to be less hassle for the mods/admins. Players like being able to do it, and the mods are still around to watch for people doing odd things with it. I considered a profanity filter, but given the ingenuity and previous failures at such a thing decided against it.
One thing I will add when I get home from the in-laws is a /realname command that will let you find out the players real login name from their nickname. It will deal with the color codes too so a user doesn't have to enter those. One more thing for the sticky note
Loving the mod, keep up the good work!
UPDATE: Just ONE thing, after installing your mod onto my MindCrack (v6) server running the latest Minecraft the /help command stopped working as an OP. Players could access /help however.
You might want to look into this, as it impairs basic server functionality. (Come on, it's /help!)

Could you also want to put in a command that declines all warp requests sent to that user? OPs would love this xD.

EDIT: The reason is because Adfly is having host issues, it says they should be resolved soon.

Wow, that's a great mod you have found!
I was looking for something exactly like that.

Thanks.
