It takes time to update the plugins, I'm sure TheOldOne plans to update them to the latest version as soon as he has the available time. A lot changed in the latest SimpleOres update (in fact, SimpleOres isn't what plugin devs need to worry about anymore). SimpleCore is what plugin devs will be using to make plugins, and it's a lot different to the old API included in SimpleOres. Therefore, more time and effort is required to update the plugins
As the maintainer of akkamaddi's Additions, I'll second what Alexndr said. It's going to be a while, as it's a major re-write--more so than the 1.6.4 -> 1.7.10 port in the first place.

For example if I put a rate of 60 instead of 30 a vanilla mob will spawn twice?
