Good luck with the development! I loved working on this mod in the past and I'm sure you'll do a great job for its future!

Sure thing. I actually found my flash drive too and have gone ahead and added some additional comments for you to reference. Thanks again.

Hello guys, just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and well. The reason for my absence is that I've switched over to iOS development with Swift for my latest projects and haven't really had time for Minecraft anymore. Hell, I don't think I've even opened the game in over 6 months.
Thank you Killjoy1221 and digitalshadowhawk for their work in keeping the mod alive. Either of you two have my permission to create your own continuation thread for this mod and keep it alive there (or just post the occasional version updates here, I don't care).
Apologies for not having the mod open source to begin with, but it seems like that didn't stop you from updating it. Unfortunately I've misplaced my flash drive I took from my old laptop with all the Gammabright source files on it so I still can't give it to you. Nonetheless, doesn't seem you even need it!
Thanks again for keeping Gammabright alive, this was one of my first coding ventures ever and I'm astonished with the reception of it.
Happy Crafting!

Yep! I mention this manual method in the FAQ as well.

No, unfortunately it doesn't work with any shaders. I have a fix for resource packs (see FAQ) but nothing for shaders.
Do you see the LiteLoader tab in the top right corner of the Main Menu? If so, do you see Gammabright listed? If you don't see the tab, you've installed LiteLoader wrong, and if you don't see Gammabright in the list you need to make sure the file is a .litemod file and not a .zip, as well as it being placed in the mods directory of your .minecraft folder.

LiteLoader is not yet updated for 1.8.3, therefore this mod isn't either. I have been busy with other work lately too, so I can't tell you how fast I can get an update out once that time comes. I've kept this mod around for quite a while, getting towards the end of its life unfortunately!

Check out the first topic covered in the FAQ. Easy fix!

Sure thing. 1.7.2-LL. I'll update the original post to include some older versions as well.
Whaaaaaat did you do... jk. Thanks for the bug report, I'll have that fixed in the next update!

Well thank you for the publicity! I'm glad it's well liked.
Good enough reason for me.

Yeah it's possible. I have it set right now to show only when no GUIs are active, but I could easily make an exception for when the chat is toggled. Just curious, what is the reason you'd like it to show? If you want it I could add this in the next update as long as there are no drawbacks.

No, don't worry. You didn't come off rude at all. I appreciated the reminder.

Yes it does, it's client-side. I'm sorry to upset you, but this is one of those mods that it would be pointless to add server permissions for. If someone wanted to get it working on a server they could easily
a. just up the brightness in the options.txt file manually
b. modify and recompile the mod or
c. use another mod
In my opinion it's not worth the effort to require server permission for such a harmless mod like this. Most servers allow it anyways, so I don't see how it's a big deal.

Yes that seems to be a problem for some people, never had it happen myself though. What browser are you using? And thank you too!
If you are just referring to what the brightness slider says, Mojang changed its mechanics in 1.8 so that any value over 100% will show as "Bright" instead of 1500% or whatever it actually may be. If you are referring to the brightness in general, are you using a resource pack? If so, go look at the first fix listed in the FAQ.
