posted a message on Mod that allows commands with (custom) items?

Thank you Guichaguri I finally found some time to put this on and set it up, works great. Created an enchanted book named "Home" for my daughter that she only has to right click to go home.

posted a message on Mod that allows commands with (custom) items?

I'm wondering if there is a mod out there that allows a server owner to bind command(s) to an item...preferably a custom item, maybe to a book or wand or something?

I'm running a server using Cauldron at home, and my 4 year old loves playing on it, but she often gets lost and heck even my 7 year old does at times and forgets commands like /home.

What I want is something I can use to tie these or any command I want, to an item or maybe a custom book? Something they only have to right click in-hand and poof they're home or whatever else.

I've tried searching, if something exists then my Search-Fu is weak.

It's your computer. If you don't have Google Chrome yet, use it. Explorer is getting less and less reliable.

I don't use Internet Exploder...try reading. Has nothing to do with any of the 5 computers in my house, even starting an X session on my server and using Konqueror results in slow page loads.
I have a feeling it's the massive array of advertising all over the pages(Look at the page source in the bottom section the page head alone), probably certain ads not loading/loading slow, before the rest of the page completes. I count 3 of the same Acura ads on the main forum page alone...

    http://www.vagabondjourney.com/ads-slow-page-load-speed/

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/ciocentral/2013/01/24/revenue-good-outages-bad-ad-servers-can-slow-your-site/

If you need ads, they should be locally generated, or loaded at the end of the code so as to not disrupt the rest of it...ads loaded from a 3rd party server can and do seriously affect page load.

    Hey guys,

I want to ask you (I'm sorry if it had been asked before) if there is a way how to edit the list of ores, that can be generated by the Mining Laser. The thing is, that I tried running one for an hour or so in my test world and it didn't generate any Metallurgy ores. I'm sorry if it's a noob question caused just by overlooking a config option. (I'm running version 2.7.9 on MC 1.6.4)

Edit: It seems to generate Platinum, Zinc, Saltpeter (Railcraft version), Copper (Forestry version) and Tin (Forestry version)

Pretty sure the mod has to use MFR's API to be able to generate it, and tie a focus color to increase chances as well. Railcraft and Forestry Ore's are probably included by MFR due to them being large popular mods, whereas Metallurgy isn't compared to either of those.

Using Chrome, trying it in Internet Exploder is just as slow as well. Used the browser on my phone as well, also extremely slow to finish loading pages, they come up and display fine but take 30 seconds to a minute to complete loading and be able to click on anything, in any browser.

Doesn't appear to be any sort of network issue either

I don't have an Avast plugin...but since the switch to the new design, the forums DO load stupid slow for me. They used to be fine, and so is everything else I open in my browser.

It would be alot more telling if page gen time was shown like it is on PHPBB/IPB.

Ok yes, makes no sense for MCPC+ users when this protects better...but this mod hasn't been around very long, and outside of the protections afforded against mod weapons etc, Towny is ahead of it in terms of usability and capability. (Again, no knock against MyTown).

Hopefully it gets to a point where, regardless of platform, it's better in every way.

I use Mytown on MCPC+, why would anyone use Towny on a modded server? Towny is designed for Vanilla.

You are one of many that doesn't understand the difference between Vanilla/Bukkit/Forge...Towny runs on Bukkit NOT Vanilla.
MCPC+ is Bukkit+Forge, and I stopped using it awhile ago after using it since it's inception, because it will NEVER be stable enough due to mashing two very different server implementations together.
Commend the team doing it, but I cannot use it anymore and I don't care for bukkit's plugins, they can all be done in Forge.

As much as I like legobear's mod, Towny is ahead of it in most ways...and on MCPC+, I'd still be using it.

I have to jump on the 1.7 train too...though I hate pestering.

Your mod is THE replacement for Towny for those of us who no longer use Bukkit/MCPC+...I'd hate to be without it, as there is nothing else out there that every user can manage themselves in game.

Skyboy may have reached it too far showing his frustration.
There where heated messages here and reports to moderators about this issue.
Comments where removed by moderation but nothing for the intentionally broken code.

I understand it as: it is legitimate for mod authors to fight others authors with code degrading game performance.
Curse Gaming sort of agreed and caution this by removing comments but letting this broken peace of code for download from their forums.
Links to fixed versions of MFR are systematically removed.
Someone may git it to you in private.

Though the message should be clear.
Skyboy may not want you to install MFR alongside GregTech, so you may have to make a choice or accept the sanction of spammed ore dictionary, increased load time and whatever be added in future versions.

"greggy_greg_do_please_kindly_stuff_a_sock_in_it" doesn't stem from MFR as far as I'm aware, that's something neptunepink had in Factorization I do believe.

Since I'm maintaining both, MFR depends on CoFHCore now, and will continue to. PCC no longer exists, and has been merged into CoFHCore. Don't speak for others.

That makes sense, thank you for the insight. Be nice to get a binary build of COFHCore for use with MFR beta...but if there's some reason not to, I can wait on both..

No mods here should even require COFHCore...RF has an API. Doesn't make sense that you would need the core for anything but COFH mods like TE etc.

If you're not using any of the COFH mods, you're stuck running something you don't need...and in this case, you're REQUIRED to have something you don't need that doesn't exist in binary form for 1.7.2.

Beta or not, it doesn't make sense.

Region selection only would be a killer for me, as it's too complex for my kids to deal with...they know the command to claim a whole chunk, including hitting F9 to actually see it using NEI.

If size is an issue for roads/shops etc...why not offer what Towny Advanced does? The ability to set plot size on first use? Default is 16, being a whole chunk, but I had at one point used as small as 4 to allow for roads etc.
