Why is the download an adware-installing EXE now on 1.7.10? That's really scummy.

    Thanks for notifying.
I will tell the admin of download site to remove it and I will also remove my link from this forum until the problem is resolved.

    Update :
The EXE is linked to from another page.

It does not affect the download page for each version which are linked to from minecraftforum.

Vanilla only keeps chunks in front of the player. Chunks behind player do not have shadow, so I need a replacement of visibility test.

But the condition I use is inefficient. I should rewrite it. Thank you for pointing that out.

Newer Forge and OptiFine may change some code that make it incompatible with older ShadersMod.

But since I don't have much time I can only use it for latest version.

My plan is to update this a little more for 1.9.

After that, I will use my time to make a new rendering-related mod which will also use shaders but different from the old ShadersMod.

OptiFine already have ShadersMod's feature included.

My version of ShadersMod for 1.9 will be incompatible with OptiFine.

And the first release will probably be incompatible with Forge. Forge compatibility can be fixed later.

    Yes.

I have not completed update for latest minecraft version (1.8.9).

But if there is demand for 1.7.10 update and it is not too difficult, I may go back to it for a while.

You may try shaders mod 2.3.31 for 1.7.10 with forge xxx.1614 for 1.7.10 and the new optifine for 1.7.10 hd u d0 or maybe d1.

Is there new problem arise with this combination ?

I've been attempting to add a glow effect selectively to items (not blocks) in the SEUS shader, but I've had no success yet. Looking at daxnitro's wiki, it's not clear to me that the mc_Entity.x attribute also supports items and entities, which I suspect may be the problem but I'm not sure.

I've noticed spider eyes and blazes, for example, will glow but there is nothing in the gbuffers_entities files that would indicate why these specific entities would glow but not others.

Is this entity glow effect hard coded into the ShadersMod (I tried to find daxnitro's old source code but the only SugarSync link I found was dead)?

If anyone can shine some light on this conundrum, it would be much I appreciated!

    EDIT: Reworded for clarification.

    It is somewhat hard coded.
Spider eyes and Endermen eyes don't use "gbuffers_entities" shader.
Spider eyes and Endermen eyes use "gbuffers_spidereyes" shader.
When"gbuffers_spidereyes" does not exist, the mod will use "gbuffers_textured" shader.
