this mod is awesome altho i havent been able to use it since dec when minecraft was updated.... any word on when it can be updated? or maybe on the next update install a way for us to use it in future versions without waiting for an update just on the version?
Check back a couple of pages - there was a beta released for 1.11.2.
None at the moment. Deleted the entire instance and rebuilt it just to make sure I didn't have something lingering from prior tinkering
** Updated **
Disregard - figured out the issue. I'd updated to the 0.4.8 dev build which apparently broke some things. Rolled back to 0.4.7 and all is happy. Thanks for the assistance!
I'm going to be reworking the installer to automate all of this soon so all you'll have to do is click a MultiMC button.
But for now, here's how to do this manually:
1. Place the downloaded XRay file into MultiMC\libraries\net\minecraftxray\xray\4.0.3 and rename it to XRay-4.0.3.jar
(note: this is for the latest verson of XRay: 4.0.3)
2. Now navigate to MultiMC\instances\<instance name>\patches (if it doesn't exist, create it) and create a new file called "XRay.json"
3. Paste the following into that file:
{ removed}
That should get things working. Let me know if you have any issues.
That was pretty close to what I was trying prior (based on what I found on Multi MC's Wiki), with the exception I had just dropped the file under libraries\xray\4.0.3 though I must have mis-keyed something else because at least now it's trying to load, though it's failing (with 1.8.7):
[20:17:07] [main/INFO]: Loading tweak class name net.minecraftxray.loader.XRayTweaker
[20:17:07] [main/INFO]: Using primary tweak class name net.minecraftxray.loader.XRayTweaker
[20:17:07] [main/INFO]: Calling tweak class net.minecraftxray.loader.XRayTweaker
Anyone figured a way to get this to work with Multi MC? Adding it via their jar mod doesn't seem to work - creates a json and all but doesn't ever get loaded (no options in Control). Everything else I drop in there seems to work fine - Optifine and InventorySorter. Seems to be that much more difficult with the move to inheritance versus modified jar. I've been farting around with modifying json files (+libraries) and manually copying class files into the minecraft.jar for the Multi MC instance I've setup - still nothing.
Any plans on bringing the mod into the realm of 1.8? Really missing good 'ol quickcraft Shame Mojang just doesn't improve the GUI and add features like this for us non-Creative mode players.
Having an issue with the new 2.14.0 version. When in the Nether, even though minecraft:netherrack isn't in the xray.txt file, the blocks are still being displayed in XRay mode and my FPS drops to the 30's (typically remains at a constant 140 FPS). Overworld appears to be fine - I keep a constant high FPS even in XRay.
Underneath your .minecraft folder you'll find subfolders Config\XRay and modify the XRay.txt file. Any block name placed here will be viewable. Modify the Redstone.txt file to do the same when using the Redstone mode vs XRay.
Very cool - works like a charm. All I've been chompin' at the bit for was Quickcraft and now I am once again a happy Minecrafter. Appreciate your continued work on this. Side note, when I click the Donate button, I get the error "Some required information is missing or incomplete. Please correct your entries and try again."
Can you make it compatible with da optifine when its fully done
Shouldn't be any immediate reasons why it wouldn't work, I can run Optifine alongside X-Ray under 1.7.2 without issues. Imagine there shouldn't be any change with 1.7.4 once Optifine gets there.

Having an issue where if I have more than one MC instance running, both keep getting spammed with "Reloaded XRay config file."
