Thanks! It's working great so far, downloaded it a couple days ago. Yep as a pretty amateur youtuber I'm not going to use all the features, but it feels pretty solid.

What do you mean by free? I checked and it was $995. Are you talking about a limited demo or something? I'd prefer free but paying isn't a problem either.

I have a youtube channel and for years I've been struggling to find a good alternative to imovie on my imac years ago. I really like that interface and how it all worked, and if that can't be achieved on windows then do you guys know any good alternatives?

    I have already tried:

    Windows Movie Maker

    Lightworks

    Wondershare

So far I like lightworks the best but the interface is so annoying to work with. It's weird and doesn't feel right. I'm looking for a relatively cheap (not over $100) video editing software, the cheaper the better as long as it does a good job.

Fixed it by changing the recording settings in windows to DVD quality instead of CD quality. If any of you guys are having this problem, theres your solution.

I also tried changing the sound settings in windows, and also through the headset's sound program, both with still no luck.

Whenever I'm recording audio using a Gamdias Hephaestus headset, it picks up a random electrical beeping noise that is very annoying and noticeable. I'm thinking it might be interference from something, because I have tried multiple USB ports, and even USB extension cables and hubs.

Another quick thing is that moving isn't a choice, it is something I have to do. Please don't tell me things like "this place is better" or "you should live here instead". It is definitely going to be Bangkok, Thailand.

So right now I am definitely going to be moving to Bangkok, Thailand. To me this sounds great, I'm a sophomore in high school right now, I've never really stayed in a place for more than 2-3 years, and moving feels normal right now. I love new changes in scenery, however Thailand will be the most foreign yet. Mostly, I'm worried about language barriers, as I only know english, and I like to have friends, so you know, small problem there. Another thing I'm worried about is blending in. I heard they call you a pareng (or something like that) if you are a foreigner, which is normally identified as being white, but I'm actually a Chinese Filipino mix so I have no trace of white in me, yet cultured as an american. Something else i'm worried about is the people in general. Currently, I'm living in Germany, and a lot of the people here are nice, but most of them look at me weird as if I'm an outcast, and some outright try to provoke fights or something. Might be because I'm asian in a random european country but this is a problem that kinda sucks for me right now, and would like to see improve if I moved to Thailand. One final thing is which is the best highschool to go to? I can't really decide, but right now I'm leaning towards the New International School of Bangkok.

tl;dr Moving to Bangkok, what's it like there?

posted a message on How do I uninstall my Wireless Network Drivers?
I read somewhere that it is better to let windows 8 find drivers for your network adapter rather than install the network adapter's drivers. Is that even possible, is it better, and how do I do it?

posted a message on Constant buzzing in headset
Ok, after a bit of research on the house I am living it, the house does in fact have grounding, and my computer and monitor are protected by a grounded surge protector. The buzzing was caused by my ipod plugged into an ipod charger in another nearby set of sockets along the same wall. After unplugging my ipod, and the charging dock, the buzzing ceased to make noise. :D

    Explosions, fire, the usual.

Oh... well. I probably should ground my computer then. Plus that would solve the headset issue. Alright thanks guys for all the replies.

Ok, then how can I ground a computer without using a grounding plug? The house my family is currently renting does not have grounded electricity, as the house is somewhat older than most houses. Is there any major downside to not grounding a computer?

well.. is there any way to ground my computer to get rid of the buzzing noise? it's really annoying, and i can't really talk to my friends over steam without it buzzing which kinda sucks. I am thinking about buying a new pair of headphones, but that will probably not remedy the problem. Is there such thing as a headset that is already grounded, like via it's cable or something? If so, that would probably be much better.

My friend constantly complains of a buzzing noise when we talk over steam. I learned that I may have this weird ground loop thing but i'm not too sure. Windows 8 allows me to listen to my own mic, so I do, and i've noticed the low buzzing goes away when i touch the computer case. I've learned that a 3rd prong is to ground a device, but I currently live in europe where they do not use 3 prongs on their plugs. What can i do so i don't have to constantly touch my case? I want a solution that doesn't require me to buy things. I will if i have to. My headset just started doing this last week, but up until then it's been fine. If i reposition the case, sometimes it fixes it self, but most of the time no.
