Jord, confused by what's happening now, chose to wander around town instead.

"No. I don't want anything to do with the keys anymore. I lost my two best friends because of them. Both held other keys, both were killed because of them, by that Witch and that Puppeteer.

Jord, only just arriving at the island after swimming through the water, asked to the man: "Do you have any idea where that Witch is?"

"Adventurers... always sticking there nose in where they don't belong." Vernon utters the words, barely audible to anyone else as he pieces together just what was taking place here. He let's a short shot of breath from his nose to reflect his willingness to be at ease. These people were probably no real threat, just nosy or on the run from outside troubles. In truth, they may even prove useful to his cause. At that moment of reckoning, Vernon realizes he did recognize one of the group, Curi. He did not know her by name, though he had noticed her around town on numerous occasions. She was however different than he recalled, something about her had changed, no doubt the reason as to why he hadn't been familiar with her to start.

At this reasoning, Vernon, void of any sudden movements, lowers both weapons, attaching one crossbow to his belt to free his left hand and gives a light tap to Ki behind him. "It's fine, girl," He tells her; "You can relax."

He looks at Curi, squinting with one eye. "You may want to do something about the coffin smell you've got happening. You stink of death warmed up, maybe bathe those clothes in some smoke for a while. Still, nice to see a familiar face around this hole of a town."

Regarding Uyir, he nods and makes a point; "Nice to see some power of observation taking place."

He speaks to the groups, voice calm and to the point. "There be monsters here, boys and girls. Better we save our energy for them. I've got some work to do involving the protection of this young girl behind me, and I need not mention the obvious desire for pest control around Waise.

In any case, names Vernon, resident of town. This child behind me, Ki. We're on rout to the plateau in town. Feel free to join me if you're looking to make difference that doesn't involve selfish needs or stupidity, hell knows I could do with any assistance that's offered. Just don't tag along if you're gonna be more of a nuisance than help."

He extends his hand for anyone willing to get the pleasantries of greeting out of the way.

Jord sheaths his sword again, and walks to Vernon to shake his hand. "I'm Jord," he said as he was shaking Vernon's hand, "I'll be going with you guys then, I'm feeling like I want to have an adventure."

At Ace's first move, Vernon had shifted his aim from Jord to them. By time Ace had finished their response, he had used his foot to shift Ki a little more to one side behind him, further from Aces line of possible attack while the other crossbow remained on Uyir. Vernon however did not flinch. He held his ground. He held his tongue. He awaited an answer to his question from any of them.

Inhumanly fast Jord had drawn his steel sword as soon as Vernon shifted his aim to Ace, and prepared to dodge or even block any crossbow bolts from Vernon.

Uyir meanders the direction of the opened tomb "That looks like something which should be adventurous!"

"Hmm, a lot of people died in this town recently," Jord said "That's a good idea, let's go into the tomb!"

Jord followed the group as well, although he did not know where, so he asked Uyir: "So Uyir, where are we going?"

Uyir nods "If you wish to do so, you may. I don't mind" He turns back towards Boris and Curi, inviting Jord to follow him back

Jord looked at the group, noticing that he knew Boris and Uyir, but he had no idea who the woman was. "Hello, I'm Jord, who are you?", he said to Curi to introduce himself.

Uyir nods at Boris "Thank you." He turns to Jord, and walks over to him, ignoring Curi's expression of thanks. He did nothing more than express what he knew. "So," he says, once he reaches Jord "you wished to speak to me?"

"I just saw you and recognized you from the inn and wanted to greet you, that's all. Can I join your group?" He replied

Jorcool, who was a frequent poster on this thread, unlike yourself, would know how long it had been inactive. Therefor, what is it to you if he decides to start playing the game once more?

When the Khanate become idle in their assault, one of the discs disperse a yellow broad-beam that sweeps over their entire nation. Others of the same type of beam are also projected upon the aircraft carriers and planes. Thought the Khanate are not aware of the beams intention, it is in fact a variety of scan. The scan takes but a few seconds, before all other hostility shown to the Khanate from the disc becomes quiet, at least for now....

Meanwhile, deep underground in the ancient ruined city of the Midg, the clean up of the city continues. A group of midge stumble upon a large cavern, filled with technological pods and devices they can not properly identify. Many of these devices and pods, however, seem to have recently activated. Word of this discovery is brought to the attention of the numerous Jarl's. A study is ordered to find out the function of said technology.

Half of the carrier force drives back towars the Khanate, and start helping in the fight against the white army instead.

Uyir wanders in the general direction of the town, with Curi and Boris following, constantly humming a cheery, upbeat tune

Jord, after leaving the vicinity of the church had coincidentally walked towards Uyir, Curi and Boris. As soon as he saw Uyir approaching he shouted: "Hey, weren't you at the inn and the church?"

The battle continues in the Garktonian Outpost, however now a change occurs as many legions of the Prophets undead rise from the ground, taking up their weapons against the white Army to assist the Garktonians. while calling out the words -

"You have proven loyal to the Prophet. Your Enemies are our enemies!"

The White army is now outnumbered, but even though the white army soldiers are being destroyed at a faster rate than those of the Garktonian and undead, they continue to be replaced just as quickly as they are destroyed.

The fleet of UFO's are sent to one of the large discs, but the Disc does nothing, as the UFO's have not acted upon it.

In both the Khanate territory and Aquon Expanse, and with the added assistance of the Aquon GBV's, legions of the undead also rise from the ground and take up arms against the White army, while calling out the words -

"You have proven loyal to the Prophet. Your Enemies are our enemies!"

The white army is now well outnumbered, though their fallen continue to be replaced and the ground battle continues in much the same manner.

However, ten miles above the planet, both the Khanate and the Aquon have engaged two of the Discs.

The Khanate have fired missiles, which cause no more than minimal superficial damage to the Disc, and for each missile launched a counter-strike is also launched from the disc, targeted at the Cityships below. The Weapons fired upon the cityships are blue bolts of light that seem to emanate from random areas on the hull of the Disc. No cannons or any sign of weapon can be seen at their source. Somehow, and possibly a note of interest... The Bolts of light fired from the disc have been programmed to discharge a destructive yield that will apply the same damage to a city ships as the Khanate missiles will cause to the disc.

The Khanate probes sent to study the disc, however, are likely not successful. From a distance, the Disc gives off no readings, and when the probes attempt landing upon the disc they are, upon contact, instantly met with a pulse of blue light, similar to that fired from the soldiers of the white army, only more powerful.

The acid like substance sprayed on another disc from the Aquon does its job, at least for a time, but the molecular structure of the acid compound is soon extrapolated by the disc's dynamic AI Alloy, and thus adjusts its molecular construct accordingly to protect itself from the acidic effects. No more damage is caused to the disc from the acid, but not before damage is taken from the Aquon's initial strikes. In response to the Aquon attack, The Disc fires high yield bolts of blue light at the GBV's, also designed to cause as much damage to them as they did to the Disc.

Many of the ancient souls, as possessed by the will of the prophet, head for the Energy Projector in the distance in attempt to destroy it and hopefully cause the dome to collapse with various spells and brute force. The armada of IRIS robots are met with the same said force and magic from the ancient souls. The Battle begins while the prophet, viewing the battle through the eyes of ancient souls, begins devising a plan to reach the colonists on the islands high above.

As assumed, the Baffalo Troops make short work of the undead they trample, but more undead rise from the depths. Now the undead begin working in groups to combat the Baffalo; five undead ganging up on each one of the Baffalo to bring them down.

OOC: Apologies. Had to rush my post today as real life distractions are inhibiting me from taking more time. Hopefully the weekend will grant me more time.

The planes land back on the aircraft carriers, waiting for the King's next move.

Khanate scientists have started a new research project to genetically engineer humans to make them more suitable for combat. They also have tried to make wormholes to call for backup from the Lanist Khaganate, but so far that has been a failure.

Niamh is rudely awoken by someone throwing a wooden leg at the altar and crashing into the marble structure on the wall behind it.
She sits up and pokes her sleepy head over the altar. She sees this strange man (ooc: Jord) standing nearer. He must be the person who did it, she deduces.

One by one, each item on the altar such as religious books, candles, wine glasses and the candles and tall holders to the side form small and faint blue magic circles.

The circles waver from a faint tint to bright blue. The inscriptions on them slowly changing. They make a quiet humming sound. It's a weak spell. Both a limitation of a tired mage and a mage who cannot handle large amount of spells at once.
Then one by one, each object gets flung at Jord's general direction. Some stuff hit him in the chest and legs and such, most miss him and crash against the floors and pews. Regardless it isn't a very strong "throw".

She gives a very angry expression, although that's a bit hard to see since half of her face is covered in hair.

Jord manages to dodge some, and even chops a candle in half with a slice of his sword. The random objects do not do much as he is wearing armor and the force is not very much. Regardless, he decides he'd be better of if he'd stop bothering whoever is sleeping behind the altar, and decides to get out of the church and take a walk inside the city instead.

As Silas completes his very vocal monologue, the a blue floating circle appears around the chalice on the altar. The chalice suddenly catapults itself forward towards Silas by itself. Barely missing the giant sword and flying right above his head. The chalice and circle surrounding it smashes against the wall of the Church, above the door into little pieces.

A quiet hissing voice eerily echoes through the Church.
    "Quiet, moron..."

    Someone clearly wants their sleep.

Jord, bored by what's happening, decided it would be a good idea to see what would happen if he broke a leg from a bench and threw it towards the altar.
