I’ve built a 50x50 passive mob spawner at bedrock using the nether portal design and i’ve also covered the entire spawn chunks with water (about 250.000 water) and this took me about 60 hours. But the spawner doesn’t work... Do i have to build it again but on an Island? Or can i build the spawner in the spawnchunks? And i’m also not sure If i missed a couple of blocks out of the 250,000 blocks i had to cover and some passive mobs still can spawn. Any way i can see stats for passive mob entities or total grass blocks in the spawnchunks or is it an easier way to make the spawn free for passive mobs than coverene it all with water?
Hitting checkpoints in solo should tell you how many seconds you are in front of/ behind your ghost! For example +1.347 in red under the "Checkpoint!" Icon.... Same in public games maybe? Seconds in front of 2nd place / seconds behind the guy in front of you?
I have the WR on 6 of the 9 glide maps on PS4, I want to get a good time on cavern but my ghost is glitched and it says that my best time is only 14 seconds and the ghost spawns at the end of the map.. It's hard to improve and get a better time when i don't have the ghost. Please fix this glitch 4Jstudios! Maybe add a "reset ghost on this map" button in the options or fix it;)
I have an awesome idea for the elytra on console! I have no elytra on my server, but what If we could make elytras in the crafting table only when we are on an end island? Shulker boxes should also have a similar feature. Here is an example on an elytra recipe (Maybe dia block instead):
I made the 100% same design as you, but in an 30x30 area, but i only filled up every 2nd row with water and had every 2nd gate one further down so the water didn't flow everywhere. This would make the farm far more efficient, because they would instantly fall down when they spawned. But i think they might have changed the squid spawning mechanics and not updated the wiki, i think squids can't spawn in 1x1 areas anymore, at least not on console (i have 15 rows of water, each with 1 gap of air between, basically 15 squares with the size of 15x1)
I might have solved the squid farm problem on console! I need ALL the help I can get right now, please reply if you have ever made a squid farm in console, if it worked, comment in which biome you built it and if it was in naturally generated water or not (I reckon you built it between y 46 and y 62).
I've tried to design a perfect squid farm for weeks now and I think squids share mob cap with the rest of the passive mobs (sheep, cows, chickens, etc.) I've seen that a lot of squid farms in desert biomes work fine, and this is most likely because no passive mobs can spawn in deserts, there is also a myth that squids only spawn in naturally generated water, just like in pocket edition. I think if you've built your farm in another area than desert or naturally generated water, you need to remove all the dirt in a 128 radius around your afk spot above the squid spawner. Therefore, no passive mobs will spawn.
What mobs share the same cap on console? Does all the passive mobs have an individual cap or do some share the same cap? I've made a squid farm and I need to know if squids share cap with any of the other mobs, if so I need to make a perimeter... (I've heard that squids share cap with bats, but don't know if that's true)
Saplings are growing WAAAY to slow when bone mealing them, I have an afk tree farm, I've built the same tree farm on pc before. When using bone meal on a sappling it should be a 45% chance for the sappling to grow to the next growth stage. They have three growth stages witch means that you should in average use 0.45*0.45*0.45=0.091, 100/0.091=10.99 When you use bone meal you should in avarage use 10.99 bone meal. The problem with my afk farm is that it sometimes takes over a stack for the tree to grow. I don't know if this is because of lag, because I have the tree farm above a mob spawner that took me about 2 months to build and has over 600 pistons and flowing water for the item transportation, and at least 200 hoppers
I have about 40 different portals linking to different areas around my server, after the last update almost all of my portals linked to one portal, I ain't fix it again and it means that I have to go houndreds of blocks to get to my other locations. My iron golem spawners are about 200 blocks up in the air and 400 blocks away, I used to go 50 blocks in the nether, not spending 15 min to get to the spawners...
I've built an afk-able farm with huge mushrooms using TNT, the only problem is that I want the mushroom to grow 6 high (5 will destroy my hoppers, 7 will won't destroy all the mushroom blocks) I know how to not get it 7 high, but how can I only get it 6 high and not 5?
What's the height limit for cows, sheep and chicken to spawn? About to make a passive mob farm and i've seen a lot of people making it almost at bedrock, why? HELP!
I hate that you can't farm sand in minecraft (Unless you dupe it) but what if once every 10th minute or something a cobblestone placed next to sand can change to a sand block? I'm seeing all the awesome AFK farms you could make, it would be a great addition to minecraft!
I have a base directly underneath my gigantic 160.000 drops/h spawner, how to i link a portal to about 80 blocks above the spawner, when i already have a portal in my base right below? How to i link two portals that are to close to each other and link in the nether? Send me a link to a tutorial, or explain!

Are you 100% sure they have their own mob cap on console? Where did you find this info?

Here is a link to my tree farm: (I use this farm, but I don't dupe the TNT)
