    The combat update has brought a lot of perfect additions, but as I'm sure you would agree that the new combat system was not one of them. Heavy disagreement here... But it was because of that change that I have thought of what I think is a more practical way to make tactical retreats and a better way to fight... a NEW combat system for VMC.


    1. Duel wielding could use both weapons, but each weapon would cause half of the damage they normally would, but use the attributes of both weapons (each weapon would keep it's own cool-down attribute even while fighting (including the back-swing) and enchantments.


    2. Each weapon (except Axes) would have a back-swing that would deal damage according to the charge time given. back-swing would have to be charged right after the first swing goes all the way across by keeping the attack button held. ½ second of charge time = -2 heart points/1 full heart of damage (2 seconds would be the charge limit).


    3. Sticks could also be used as weapons (specifically defensive). after the first swing, the other end of the stick would follow if still holding (would deal -2 heart points/1 full heart of damage). after the other end reaches forward it would swing back dealing the third damage, but the forth swing (the first end) will only deal knock back 3 (a total of -4 heart points/2 full hearts of damage + knock back). Knock Back, Thorns, Fire Aspect and other enchants would be useful to turn it into a quick tactical tool (Damage will not be caused to true passive mobs with the use of a regular stick). Swipe would have a longer range by 1 block forward and a 45° wider angle ratios. Ehhhh.... It's at the end of the day just a stick, It isn't that hard to make a wooden sword and make one quickly, you rarely see hostiles before you can make a weapon and i'm sure most people make backup weapons... Likewise, Who in their right mind would waste levels/enchantment books on a STICK?


    4. A back slot would be added to the body's inventory for the Elytra. Wearing the Elytra with full body armor would cancel-out the most diamond and iron armor while in flight and use up armor 20% faster. No thanks


    5. A Quiver would be used to store 16 full stacks of arrows (only full stacks) in one slot but can only be used while in the back slot. to All you would need to do to add arrows to the quiver is put the quiver anywhere on the crafting table and put any amount of arrows anywhere else to fill in back up with arrows (You can only use 4 types per quiver). Crouching would change your arrow type to the next arrow type still available. Quivers could be rare castle loot. I'm sorry, did i miss something? When did we just suddenly get castles? The Quiver will have a different colored band textured around it according to the arrow type It currently holds. Overall the quiver isn't a bad idea...


    6. Gontlets Gontlets? Do you mean Gauntlets? could come in all the classic armor variants. To wear them you'd have to give up the back slot. Gontlets Gauntlets... would not provide protection but will increase damage dealt by 10% and adds knock back 1. Gontlets Seriously man, It takes a few seconds just to google Gauntlet, Doesn't your spell checker give you the little red line?! could be rare castle loot. Again with those Mysterious castles... They would technically be weapons but can't just be selected for use like you would with actual weapons and they would technically be like weapon enchants but take up an important extra slot and can be used with any item and fists. they could also be enchanted like any other weapon. No. Thanks.


    7. Every item worn on the body would decrease the player's speed by 6% except for the Elytra. NO.


    8. holding the crouch button would allow you to crawl under 1 ½ block high gaps; however, The player hit box will have to be divided into 2 hit boxes to make this work. This is fine i suppose.


    9. Quickly tapping before holding the crouch button would allow you to crawl on the ground. Crawling would allow you to crawl through 1x1 block gaps (Hit box would just be divided with the top following the player's head). Like crouching, you can't go off of 1 block heights. you would also have no 75% more Knock Back resistance and would go just a bit slower then crouching. (Let go of the button to get back up to the default position like you would when you crouch)


    10. Crouching while gliding with the Elytra Glider will move your hit box ½ a block down along with the player model and quickly tapping the crouch button right before holding it will move the hit box and the player model down by 1 whole block. Letting go of the crouch button would always put you back in the default position.


    11. Crouching on water would make you sink faster and crouching at the same time as jumping would make you stay still.


    12. Clicking the crouch button while going through vines would allow you to stay still on top of the vine below you (This will allow you to jump from vine to vine and make them more unique and useful). You Really love crouch mechanics don't you? Anyways i like this idea...


    13. crouching while in the air would make you fall faster. This can be used to either take 20% more fall damage, go deeper under water faster, or deal 2+ points of health/ 1 heart of damage.


    14. Sudden crouching while running would make you go 20% faster for 6 more blocks before getting in a crawl position. This would allow you to crawl under stuff faster (Every item worn will decrease the distance). This would also be a great way to tactically get behind someone for a strike like you would in really life; however, like real life, you might have to practice the technic.


    15. Springing would allow you to get up letters faster by 20%. Springing? Letters? and crouching before jumping would let you jump higher by ½ a block.




    I've been thinking about this for a while and after reading this again I think the more complicated weapon combat might be better as possible weapon Enchantments, skills unlocked after defeating Jean (The End Dragon), or just after you first use up each weapon. But let me know what you think in the comments below.


    [Just to be clear, this thread is 1 suggestion. The suggestion is for the combat system to be improved as stated. Each idea needs the other idea for this to work.]

    In Minecraft they should make Vehicles with wheels and put chests on it Oh boy, This again...


    For Example: Buses, cars and more The words Cars and Buses in minecraft without the words "custom build" or "Mod" already make this thread rather terrible to even look at...

    Jokes/truth aside, this is VERY vague.. What would these Cars and Buses look like, What else world there be? Purpose? Reason we'd want them? Any information at all?




    Fuel

    So When your riding a Vehicle it will have a bar with a fuel picture and gas stations at villages Gas stations totally fit in with the simple and very medieval like villages... when it runs out and your not at a gas staiton you can get a item call fuel so you can bring it with you the the recipe is green clay around it Green clay around what? Actually, what do you mean green clay? There is only normal colored clay... and and bucket of fuel but the fuel in a bucket wont work on the Vehicle it has to be in the recipe the fuel spawns in some ponds but it is rare to be in a pond but its not rare in the village I don't even know anymore.. To Get the fuel in the vehicle you need to press shift and click then the fuel goes in the Vehicle

    Wool making a steel car with an engine, motor, and everything else TOTALLY makes sense right guys?... Seriously though... That has to be the least creative, and easily worst crafting pattern i've ever seen for what your trying to sell us is a "bus"..



    Responses in bold, No support... Motor cars and buses do not fit anywhere near minecraft...
