When ever I try to play minecraft with the snapshots and pre release. I work fine on 14w 30c and before but all the snapshots after I crash as soon as the game starts.

Another good mining type [Best with 2+ people and do not like caves]. Is to start at the same level and start digging diagonally down, and your friend can go two blocks over and do the same thing because if you have 2 people your covering a 6 wide area. Also works awesome with one person to.
Well depends on when you shoot the cannon out, what I would do is make a test cannon in creative in a Single Player Server and test the different times, is what I will do

A ocean is on the other side of the snow biome, if you keep going.
That's all I found with my minecraft being laggy and the areas not loading up.
