Is there any way to make Mo' Creatures more compatible with Davidee's Mob Spawn Controls?
It seems like this mod has its own spawn system and it messes up the MSC spawn abilities. Just turning the Mo' Creatures spawn frequencies to zero and turning off the vanilla spawn options isn't enough to make the two mods compatible any more. Is there a way to completely turn off the Mo' Creatures spawn habits so that the mod only adds the creatures? That way, MSC could spawn them without interference, right?
Has anyone been able to have this work properly with DrZhark's Mo' Creatures mod?
I believe it says on the first page all I have to do is turn the Mo' Creature's spawn frequencies to zero and change the vanilla spawn options to "no." This effectively turns off the Mo' Creature's spawn habits so that this mod can take them over, but this mod doesn't seem to want to spawn anything differently than default vanilla.
Can anyone walk me through how they did it? Which options to change or overrides to write (I think tthere are no overrides needed)?
Thanks
-EDIT-
It seems this has been well covered, yet still remains a problem. Do we know if DrZhark will be making it compatible again?
Thanks to the help I recieved on this site, I was able to install and use this mod. Well done!
I do have a question, though. Can someone explain the options in the mod for me? There's a lot of "spawn frequencies" that I think I understand, but I can't figure out what effect some of the other settings have.
I only ask this because I'm trying to farm cows, pigs, sheep, horses and chickens but they tend to spawn so often I cant get them to stay out of my city. Then, when I meddle with the spawn changes, the ones I've captured and fenced in despawn.
Is there an option or a setup to have the mod spawn creatures only when I, say, arrive to a new place and not despawn herds when I leave? I can gather herds of cows and horses but they disappear from their pens and spawn in the middle of nowhere. I guess I'm looking for an option that will return the spawn characteristics to the usual mincraft spawn technique, but still use the new creatures. That way, the creatures that spawn will stay until I kill them or they roam away, and ostriches won't invade my castles.
Sorry for writing a novel, I don't know how to explain it any other way.
