NO. NO. No. No, no, no. It just adds a little REALISM -glares at gtay- which is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, be proud of it. Besides, Timber mod was created to be used, not to be critized by a bunch of loud-mouthed monekeys.
Just cut down all the trees and bushes in a 30X30 area of jungle. That's all you have to do. Ocelots will be easy pickin's. If you want an exact rate of spawning, I dunno. I doubt that the presence of trees will affect the spawn rate.
I borked up my install by installing a mod wrong. All I want to do is uninstall MC and reinstall it, but there is no clear way to do this - I am running Windows 7. Minecraft does not appear in my "install or remove a program" menu. I opened up the file by doing the %appdata% command, and removed .minecraft, launched MC, and some stuff downloaded, but no game will play.
Instructions for a simple total uninstall and re-install would be appreciated. Yes, I am a legit paying player, and no, i don't care about saving my old worlds.
Thanks.Jeez, never mind. I just tried again, and it worked...
In one trip, enough to fill my inventory with useful stuff - a few stacks of coal, a few of iron, maybe 14 diamonds, a half-stack of gold and lapis, some obsidian, and probably a dozen stacks of redstone...

It's called a dungeon, but it's not like your mental image of a "dungeon." It's just a room with a spawner and a chest or two.
