Erm, you realize that was posted a month and a half ago when almost none of the mods were updated?
As to Te(kk|chn)i(t|c) for 1.3, never going to happen. Hopefully not for 1.4 either. I hope those pirates sweet, sweet people die a horrible death that involves some sort of cannibalism get to eat cookies.
And, as much as I have lost faith in humanity, I still believe that most about 10% of the people would drop it if they knew it was illegal.
yeah, because everybody knows that redistributing free software is illegal!
ing curse and their total lack of understanding about copyright laws.
Sure, I will test. keep the mod open source too, it will give the better coders chances to scour your code for bugs. I have seen it happen before, don't doubt me :P.
not adding that signature unless you don't use a ty image generator.
step 1: download mods
step 2: install mods
step 3: publish modpack
step 4: get yelled at for having no permissions and "STEALING MODS, OMGOGMGOMGO"
step 5: be banned from MCF
Hello,
Never before beta tested, but I always find bugs in mods and minecraft. The main reason is because I sped so much time messing around with things. I would love to test your mod, I can install it myself just fine. It looks fantastic, my head might asplode if I don't even have to search for that godamn modded item in a menu, and instead it just pops up. Even if I don't beta test, you just got yourself a new user of it, as I will use this thing to death.
give me the log from the multimc console, please, and I forgot i also have optifine and a very specific way I organize my mod zips, so it probably wouldn't work on yours anyways.
make sure you can get flan's with no content packs working first though.
why does everyone say that jarmods are "poorly designed"? Let's go back to (what other than) better than wolves. By not worrying about compatibility (Flowerchild doesn't try to be compatible, it's not that he purposefully breaks compatibility) he's been able to go hog wild with the vanilla game without worrying if every other mod will still run. Things like less stupid wolves, buoyancy, and more realistic bonemeal, codenamed hardcore bone, would have been possible (or at least way harder, if at all) if he stuck with forge or the like. I don't irrationally despise forge, but I prefer the alternative.
edit: also, BTW has yet to crash on me, and vanilla has.
actually, he does focus on incompatiblity. It's kind of funny really, that hibachi grill thingy, that i personally think is acutally well coded on it's own, is coded into the [profanity="fuck"]ing fire base class. this means your whole world gets [profanity="fuck"]ed over if you uninstall btw with any kind of fire on it, hibachi or otherwise, even if it was a lightning fire. And the reason he left forge is kind of selfish actually, he claims it was because forge was modifying too many base classes, but the real reason is that he didn't want compatiblity with other forge mods. Why? One word: Technic. He flipped his lid over technic so far, that he actually removed forge compatiblity JUST SO THAT HIS MOD WOULDN'T WORK WITH OTHER FORGE MODS. So that people don't even really even want to bother with redistributing it.
hay there im having trouble installing flan's mod.... im using multimc4 and ive watched videos but they wont work.... i cant load modloader or modloadermp (flan's need both i gess) but when i start mc to see if it all works a error pops up sayn that i dnt need modloader because forge is compatible... so i jjest put the flan's zip folder wer it goes and we i start it it works but it doesnt have it listed on the mods list..... so i need help plz...
first off, flan's mod is only for 1.2.5, so make sure that you downgraded. And use the version of forge found on the flan's mod thread, it isn't compatible with the latest version of forge for 1.2.5, due to some of the massive changes in forge, like FML and the 4096 id fix integrated into forge. I have a multimc build of Flan's mod running right now, actually, I could give you the config file if you wanted.
Did you install the content packs in the Flan folder or did you put them in the mods folder or even in the minecraft.jar, content packs must ALWAYS be installed in the Flan folder
don't forget they have to be extracted, and the folder inside needs to go in the Flan folder.
And I am pumped for the update! I can't wait to be able to play flan's mod with ee3, thaumcraft 3, and the new ic2 reactor overhaul!
