How are you doing today? My name is Beefy for short, and I am the director of Pandora Prison, the first edition of Level Up Gaming. Pandora Prison aspires to be a RPG intense-packed Prison server, a unique mix of the two genres. Self-proclaimed to be the first and the best RPG themed Prison server, Pandora Prison will incorporate unique aspects (which I will be revealing later on in the thread) of RPG servers together with twisted Prison server concepts.
Below is some of the core features of Pandora Prison.- Five marvelous Prison districts
- Custom items with unique attributes
- Interactive NPCs (non-player character)
- PvP Realms
- GUI-powered Guild creation
- Buffs, Scrolls & Lotteria
- Misc
- Unique storyline
- Skills (To be added in beta patch)
Prison districts
The marvelous Prison districts are specially crafted to stipulate the intense, RPG environment. All five prisons are interconnected with realms, allowing players to explore the wonders of the five Prison districts. When you first step into the world of Pandora Prison, you will be greeted by a grand chamber with realms that will lead you to your respective Prison district.
Custom items with unique attributes
Delicately formulated, the custom item with custom attributes will entice players to trade with one another, whilst constantly upgrade their beloved weapons. Special weapons will allow players to rethink their move again before entering the PvP realm. It is rare that any two players will obtain the same sword with the same attributes, therefore every player will be exclusive.
Interactive NPCs
Non-player characters, also known as NPCs in short, is a major feature of Pandora Prison. Quests, trading merchants, guild registrars, transportation workers, will all be featured in game with NPCs. Right click the NPCs to initiate a chat with the NPCs, who knows, some may offer you a special quest in return for precious armors?
PvP Realms
PvP Realms is basically a battleground located near the centre of all five districts. Players may either travel there though transportation scrolls, transportation NPCs, or by walking there. The only zone where PvP is encouraged. Survival of the fittest.
Guild creations
Party up with a group of friends and start a new guild together. Guilds have tags and even emblems to differentiate from. Check who's online in your guild and dominate the prison district together. Visit the guild registrar to find out more.
Buffs, Scrolls and Lotteria
The name of this feature says it all. Usable items, like enchantment scrolls and teleportation scrolls, can be purchased from merchants in your districts. Use them to upgrade your weapons, with an increase chance of destroying your weapon every time you use an enchantment scroll. The stakes are higher, but the rewards are pretty sweet too. The Lotteria is simply a lottery machine that players can try their luck on to obtain rare or normal items.
Misc
Misc, items that decorates your player and will not affect any offensive attributes, can be obtain on special occasions/quests, or can be purchased through our future funding website. Entity mounts is an example of a Misc that can only be obtained through our future funding website.
These are just some of the unique features we have to offer. Not to forget, our player-driven economy & storyline are also a huge part of the role-play. This will be further elaborated sometime tomorrow.
The total number of ranks are yet to be decided. Right now, we do have 5 ranks in mind. It is in order of the rank up ladder. This will most likely change in the coming patches, but I will list them out now.- Accensus (Starting rank)

- Centurion
- Evocatus
- Velites (Premium)
Pandora Prison is always actively searching for business partners. Right now, we are in search for a hosting partnership. All partners will be featured on our main portal website, funding website, as well as future innovations like wikis. A custom realm will be dedicated to your hosting company in the grand chamber, linking players directly in game to your website once they enter the realm. We will provide a negotiable percentage of donations, and will pay for the services once we are able to (estimate ~1 month).
Our requirements are fairly simple:- Professional hosting company
- At least 2-4GB of RAM during alpha. We will require more RAM during beta, when we allow early funders to experience and feedback us on Pandora Prison
- Dedicated port (25565) is not needed during alpha
- 24/7 dedicated support
- 99.9% uptime
F.A.Q
Q: Have any of this been done yet?A: I am still discussing the core features with developers. Slowly but steadily, the developers will start on the project soon once everything is settled and planned. You can say we are still in the planning stages but just to let you know, I have been brainstorming for quite some time now.
Q: Are those features listed on this thread the only unique features of Pandora Prison?A: Nope. Features will be implemented by patches and new features may pop in anytime.
Q: How long will it take for the entire project to be completed?A: ETA: Alpha patch will be released within a month, in preparation for beta.

ShortCircuit posted a message on Sponsorships and HostingI've come to the conclusion that these forums may be a little too crowded. Right now, the hosting requests sections make no sense. I come here to sell servers with the occasional sponsorship but end up seeing "LOOKING FOR HOST" and instantly think "Great! Pontential customers!" to click and see its yet another sponsorship. I've spoken to my friends and employees about this lately and they're all in the same situation as I am right now. The problem is nobody knows what's going on. We came upon two different conclusions to solve this problem.Posted in: Hosting Requests
1.) Require users to put "Sponsorship" or "Purchasing" in their title at th beginning to sort the issue. This would make it easier to read yet will still have the clutter.
2.) Create another sub-forum. That way we have "Purchasing" and we have "Sponsorships". This completely divides the spam of "HOST ME A SURVER PLZ" and "Looking to buy a new server" into two areas. By doing this idea, we can allow users wishing to ask for sponsorships in one defined area so they don't fuse hosts trying to make profit while paying customers can easily make a defined post and get a host quicker as there won't be the hassle of accidentally clicking a sponsorship request.
Keep in mind these are only suggestions and general thoughts but have a huge role in this section. Please feel free to post any comments or opinions on this topic so the community can get a feel of how everyone else is feeling. This topic is open for all users to write their thoughts on wether you're a host or a client.

Yeah specifically requesting a female gaming partner is an instant red flag. Doesn't mean that this guy is a creeper or anything, just not particularly bright in his method of picking up chicks
If you're bored/lonely either a male or female friend in Minecraft would do the trick. Requesting female over male as a male yourself is heavily implying that you are looking to try to start a relationship or get laid of whatever. If this is what you want, I suggest you try going to match.com or zoosk or whatever fits your fancy. Or just you know... flirt with girls in your own town? XD

DDOS, short for distributed denial of service, is a type of DOS attack where multiple compromised systems -- which are usually infected with a Trojan -- are used to target a single system causing a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. Victims of a DDoS attack consist of both the end targeted system and all systems maliciously used and controlled by the hacker in the distributed attack.
DDOS attacks have become much more common on game servers lately, and true high grade protection is expensive to come by. For example, Chromobyte offered a 1gbps protected IP, but that obviously wasn't enough, or the protection service they used was improperly coded and had flaws.
