posted a message on WEB DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR SERVER!
Speaking as a web developer myself, people aren't going to have time or desire to be admin on every server they make a website for. Developers typically want to be compensated in actually currency, such as the US Dollar. I'd suggest finding out how much you can afford to pay a web designer (if you can pay at all), then go from there. You can always do alternatives such as buying website templates or finding free ones and customizing them to your choosing. Some free forum software you can use are: PHPBB, SimpleMachines Forum (SMF), and MyBB. You can also try KunenaForum with Joomla. IP Board (which minecraftforum.net uses), and XenForo are better options for forums, but they will cost you over $100 (one time fee) for a license. Enjin is another alternative, which will cost you monthly, but will negate the need for hosting and will enable you to create the site yourself without having to code. Lastly, you can always try free drag and drop site makers like Wix.

    Good luck!

Heheh you're gonna need to learn how to make decent layouts on your own there buddy. The main website you linked is obviously a free template that you snatched off the internet. Don't deny it, it says so near the bottom of your page source lol. The "amazing" site you linked really that great. Just a bootstrap template with some custom colors, text, and images. Spacing is a bit off with the navigation on that site too. The thing that bothers me the most about your "amazing" website is that you have it hosted through Google Drive.... Even worse you obviously have a web server for the actual domain, but instead of putting the site there, you put it on Google Drive and have your actual web server fetch the content through an iframe. Tsk tsk tsk.

Go learn some real web design then come back later.

    Here's a decent place to start - http://www.w3schools.com/

    Quote from fantasytaylor

Anyone else weirded out by the specific details of the player having to be a girl? o.o

Hmm..... Let me think... That's a tough one..

Yeah specifically requesting a female gaming partner is an instant red flag. Doesn't mean that this guy is a creeper or anything, just not particularly bright in his method of picking up chicks ;)

If you're bored/lonely either a male or female friend in Minecraft would do the trick. Requesting female over male as a male yourself is heavily implying that you are looking to try to start a relationship or get laid of whatever. If this is what you want, I suggest you try going to match.com or zoosk or whatever fits your fancy. Or just you know... flirt with girls in your own town? XD

You can always join RedSkyCraft. We are a multiworld server with Survival, Skyblock, Hunger Games, and Creative. Each of these worlds are separated by Multiverse along with separate inventories.Despite having these add-ons, RedSkyCraft's primary roots are in standard survival gameplay. Players can protect builds with RedProtect, and if they don't wish to do that, staff can detect and rollback grief with CoreProtect.

    Website is http://redskycraft.net
Connect with Minecraft 1.7.2 client to - mc.redskycraft.net

    Hope to see you there!

    You can download Essentials

    http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/essentials/

The core Essentials package usually comes with EssentialsSpawn. Just go to the spot where you want the spawn to be set at, stand there, and type

    /setspawn

I found this thing for server hosting for free at this site www.freeminecrafthost.com. It gives you 4 player slots for free but you must make a one time payment of 5 dollars for custom maps.

Don't go with a free host like that. You will get much better performance and high quality support even by just paying $1-3 per month for an actual server package.

This isn't the correct forum for server advertisement threads. I advise you make a thread in the PC Servers section, perhaps objective servers -

Im not too sure on this so correct me if i'm wrong. It's protection against hacks and stuff of that nature?

DDOS, short for distributed denial of service, is a type of DOS attack where multiple compromised systems -- which are usually infected with a Trojan -- are used to target a single system causing a Denial of Service (DoS) attack. Victims of a DDoS attack consist of both the end targeted system and all systems maliciously used and controlled by the hacker in the distributed attack.

DDOS attacks have become much more common on game servers lately, and true high grade protection is expensive to come by. For example, Chromobyte offered a 1gbps protected IP, but that obviously wasn't enough, or the protection service they used was improperly coded and had flaws.

May as well get used to waiting. I sent my application in at the end of June, and it's August now.

Imagine if this was a rule - "Applicants who complain about the wait time for receiving a response for their moderator application shall be cast into the back of the queue of our multitude of applications."

You had better get real used to waiting then ;)

Anyways jefe explained it pretty well.
