Heheh you're gonna need to learn how to make decent layouts on your own there buddy. The main website you linked is obviously a free template that you snatched off the internet. Don't deny it, it says so near the bottom of your page source lol. The "amazing" site you linked really that great. Just a bootstrap template with some custom colors, text, and images. Spacing is a bit off with the navigation on that site too. The thing that bothers me the most about your "amazing" website is that you have it hosted through Google Drive.... Even worse you obviously have a web server for the actual domain, but instead of putting the site there, you put it on Google Drive and have your actual web server fetch the content through an iframe. Tsk tsk tsk.

Go learn some real web design then come back later.

    Here's a decent place to start - http://www.w3schools.com/

Check out the server website here: http://redskycraft.net
    Server IP: mc.redskycraft.net

What? A server art contest?!? As you may have noticed, our server logo & banners are a bit lackluster. I could try whipping out a halfway decent logo in PhotoShop or Illustrator, but I figure there are more artistic people than me out there. To make things a bit more competitive and fun, I am having a contest for who can make the best server logo and the best server banner. The server logo and server banner will be 2 separate contests, and the prize for winning the contest will be $250k in in-game money!!! There are no exact pixel dimension requirements for the server logo, but make a graphic large enough (or small enough) to fit in the logo space where our current website logo is, and the picture needs to be in PNG or JPG format. The server banner DOES have a dimension requirement, which is 468x60 pixels. 2 server banners need to be made, one in JPG format, and another in GIF format. For the GIF format, add sliding/moving text of what features are on the server for example. If you need ideas on what to put on a GIF, go look on major server listing sites for ideas.

    Post your work here!

    Contest ends on Thursday, 2/13/2014

Idiots in Minecraft Ep.1 - Gibbey (Pro Hacker, Xrayer, & Honest Guy)

Ever come across someone in Minecraft so stupid or creepy that it's just cringe-worthy? I certainly have seen players like that, and because some of my stories are pretty interesting and hilarious, I decided to make a YouTube series out of it.

    Here's the first episode -

I apologize for the laggy quality of the video, but who cares, the commentary is what matters. Still, I'll record on my desktop next time lol

    About the server -
RedSkyCraft was initially started over a year ago, August 3rd, 2012, to be specific. It went quite well, albeit with some bumps along the way, and finally shut down in late June of 2013. However, during November 2013 I decided to relaunch the server, with a bigger and better than ever plan and setup. We are now hosted on a dedicated server with server-grade Intel Xeon E3-1240V3 CPU, 32GB DDR3 RAM, Solid State Drive, and 1gbps uplink.

    Features
No whitelist. Just join in and play!
Survival Server. No-grief. No PVP. Towns (not Towny).
    Factions Server. Griefing. PVP. Raiding.
Economy - Adminshops and player shops in Factions & Survival!
MCMMO - Level up and track your skills! (Factions only)
Minigames - Hunger Games arenas (CTF & MobArena on the way)
15 minute optional PVP Protection for new players (in Factions)

Want the [Citizen] (factions) or Member (survival) rank, but don't want to play for 5 hours in-game to get it?

Still looking for more partners. We currently have a domain setup, along with most of the website, including WHMCS installation and customization, and the main site. A 25 server Multicraft license is ready, but we are waiting to install Multicraft on the webserver, as we want to get the dedicated server setup first. We'll need someone who is willing to invest funds (not a large amount) to help start this up. Joining up will get you a percentage of future profits incurred from this hosting venture.

posted a message on Tax Concerns Regarding Server Hosting Company
Say I was to run a game server hosting provider, and I was bringing in a monthly income of, say, $1000, and my monthly expenses were $500.

With regards to federal and state taxes, would I be required to file this on a tax return (considering I am 17 and still a minor) as earned income?

Also, what would the tax rate be roughly if I registered an LLC and had less than $10,000 income per year?

Some examples of other established hosts and what they have done regarding U.S. taxes would be nice to see.

Currently have 2 partners. I would accept a 3rd (and maybe a 4th) if they helped provide a good skillset, invested time, and possibly funds. At the moment we have a domain registered and are awaiting setup of a web server with a RapidSSL certificate. Once again, PM me on the forum or add me on Steam if you are interested.

posted a message on Partners For Hosting Provider Startup

Hello, I'm planning on possibly starting up a hosting company, but I would like a partner or two to help run supply part of the initial funds (not required), and maintain things when I am busy. Partners would receive a fair percentage of profits made from this, but until profits are made, all funds will go to paying company expenses. I already have a domain and website mostly setup, so the majority of configuration resides in the server setup.

    My background -
I've run and dealt with Minecraft servers for nearly 2 years now. I've taken 2 years of web design classes, and have worked for 5 months as an intern at a local IT company, at which I've designed and developed websites for local businesses. I am knowledgable about Minecraft Server Hosting prices and hardware, as well as non-Minecraft dedicated and VPS hosts. I know how to install and configure Multicraft, and BungeeCord.

What I'm looking for in Partners -
    • Age 16+
    • Mature
    • Dedicated
    • Experience with Bukkit plugins
    • Experience with Minecraft server management
    • Experience with web design and development
    • Experience with config and maintenance of game panels
    • Experience with config and maintenance of Linux-based VPS and dedicated servers
    • Willing to contribute partially with startup funds

If you are interested, please add me on Steam or message me on the forum and we can chat (Steam preferred). Serious inquiries only.

posted a message on Small Severs Please!
I happen to have one :P

RedSkyCraft is a small survival-based server I run that includes a no-PVP survival world with economy, and anti-grief protection. It also includes Minigames such as Hunger Games, and Skyblock (although Skyblock is currently nonfunctional until WorldEdit updates to 1.7.2). We also have a Creative plots world.

posted a message on Dedicated Server Request - [Sponsorship or Discount]
@Aphmau don't accept the VPS offer... not what you want.

Frost Networks deal $185 for a dedicated server is not a good one. I don't think they even gave you a discounted price in that offer, and if they did, then wow, their normal prices are incredibly high.

I've been looking around at dedicated server prices for a while now, and I've found similar specs to what Frost Networks listed for around $100-150 per month roughly, sometimes cheaper. Unless you're getting much nicer specs for a sponsorship deal with you paying $100-150 per month, I would recommend you try a different host.

To whitelist a Minecraft server, go to the root server folder, and open the server.properties file. In there locate a line that says

    white-list=false

    And then that to

    white-list=true

And then add the usernames of the kids you want on by typing in their usernames (separated by line breaks) in the whitelist.txt file in the root server folder.

posted a message on Looking for advice..
Ok first of all, if these "friends" are people you know in real life, then it seems to me that you are investing too much time into gaming, and not enough time into face to face social interactions. In my opinion, helping with a hosting provider would be more beneficial to you, as it has the potential to earn you money, as well as give you experience that you could possibly use later in life. With regards to playing/helping/running servers, I suggest you just stick to running your own server, rather than trying to do that and staff others. All in all, remember that you aren't obligated to participate in any one of these activities. You can quit one and spend more time on the other. That's my two cents.
