    Came here to say this. I think it would be nice if this site or something similar was linked in the OP. This mod has near-unlimited potential, and I'd like to see what other people have come up with.

    Ah. But what if someone else sends the chat message? How can I know what message was successfully filtered? Can it be assigned to a variable? I looked in the configuration files, it looks like I set the option to enable the event to 1 a long time ago out of curiosity.

    I've found a bug too. The LOOKS command (maybe LOOK as well) sets the player's YAW 180 degrees off. For example, if you do LOOKS(90,0) your YAW is set to 270, not 90, and if you do LOOKS(%YAW%,0) your character turns around instead of doing nothing.


    Also, I'm not sure if this is a bug, but HITDATA cannot tell the age of crops. It is zero no matter which stage of growth you are looking at.


    EDIT: I figured these out. If you're from the future and wanna know, you can use the CARDINALYAW and HIT_AGE variables.

    To get the crops value you will need the VARIANT. But I don't really understand how to use that yet :T

    I actually can get the variant of wool and wood. Is there no way to get the age of crops? I've tried using %HITDATA% and the getid() command but still get 0 no matter the stage.

    Thanks! This should come in handy later. Now I'm having problems using %HITDATA%, it doesn't seem to return anything but 0, even if I'm looking at crops or wool.

    Is there a way to return the ID of the block the player is looking at? (If you press F3 the debug screen will tell you what this is)

    Personally, I like the way yours works. There's no cooldown indicator or haste effect involved. The sword animation still works too!


    The one problem I have with this one that it only works with items that were held before they were enchanted.
    Is there a way to change an item's attributes without removing its enchantments in the process?

    While we're on the subject of lighting... I always found it interesting that you could change the gamma value in Minecraft's options.txt to negative values. Do you think Optifine could allow the user to set the brightness to below "Moody", or even above "Bright" on the fly?

    Thank you for the advice, but I went and figured out how to make a shield model shortly after making my original post. This one is for personal use as well, as I cannot stand tacky looking boards called shields in vanilla Minecraft. Here was the result!
