I tought it was added for tranforming zombie's rare drop in something useful...I just fell that's a bit overpowered if you gan get back all your ingots from an heavly damaged piece of equipement.
It's not always easy to get back to your crucible from deep underground or halfway to the Far Lands. It's only overpowered if you never mine or explore, which renders the pickaxe itself useless. Besides, Soulforged Steel and hafts are expensive, and it's nice to be able to get some of the investment back from a nearly-broken mattock.
AArgh, MCpatcher tut wont work, not even optifine! What is it...??? I just get a black screen after mojang
Optifine and BTW alter the same base classes (you'll have to thread-search for the specific ones). If you replace the relevant classes from Optifine with the ones from BTW before installation than it will work, albeit with reduced Optifine functionality. As for MCPatcher, I have nothing on that; I had thought it was compatible.
Multiplayer means extremely little to me, because I have no friends don't play on servers. Still, that's an incredible thing, FC. One hell of a job, especially with the oddities of the 1.3.2 codebase. Thanks for all of your time and effort making the multiplayer support and getting the 1.3 update out. I personally say you deserve a medal for the insane amount of work you've put into this, but oh well.
As an added fringe benefit, we can finally tell all those idiots who say "hurr durr is the mod SMP yet" that it is. Alternatively, we can tell them it is not, and laugh as they go home disappointed, or read on the OP and discover the truth.
hi fc is there any chance at all that you can keep doing the normal versions but once every now and then make a forge version
please answer cause i hate having to choosse between fogre and btw
Didn't you ask before? And didn't you get the same answer?
Well, they did stop feathers. I think the potato drop (like the sound of that). Can be voted out...less likely so since it's just kind of one of those things that's not popular to take up.
The corner stairs effects everyone, I'm 134% certain they will not stick. Most likely a mechanic will be added to force the stairs to 'normal.'
But the potato drops...it was clearly a way to 'get' them to the players. Much like melon seeds...something that I liked being rare, but hated their introduction to the world (meaning NOT an environmental addition but a simple chest loot). But it doesn't really effect people...and there isn't (as far as I know) and alternative source (ignoring chests...they have been the 'catch all' and won't appear to change) so there isn't a reason yet to change where they come from.
Don't like the de-nethering of wart...but I know why they did it. Too many people don't have a reason to hang around the Nether. Well the fix isn't to move it...make there more of a reason. Or at least make it something that takes a little more prep in the world. But they are now allowing people farmilize the nether...which breaks the separation even more. This troubles me, this is the start of 'balance' and that makes things fun in the short term...and extremely boring in the long term.
Why would potatoes drop from mobs anyway? Feathers were a placeholder until Notch devised Rotten Flesh, but unless a new mob pops up no mob has any reason to drop a plant. Of course, why would Melon Seeds spawn in caves, when melons themselves could just be generated like Pumpkins? They could do like the PeacefulPack did with Flax, and make it spawn in a wild growing state, or make seeds drop from tall grass like BTW Hemp can, but why would a zombie be holding a potato or a carrot?
The de-netherization of Netherwart just strikes me as incredibly stupid. My BTW world on my old computer from 1.0 had a large cobblestone fortress custom-built to let me snipe Zombie Pigmen and take down Ghasts while I waited for my Netherwart and Blood Wood to grow. It took forever to get a good stock, and while it was growing I was doing other things, like raiding netherholds, mining glowstone, or murdering the fauna. Now I can build a farm in my house, go work on my mob trap or whatever, and come back to a full crop. It devalues the Nether, it devalues potions in general, and it just doesn't feel right. My Netherwart farm is in the Nether, and it will stay there.
Why does Minecraft seem do be going down the path of "let's make everything easier"? Netherwart farming's easier, XP gathering's easier, farming in general is easier. It's even easy to get Diamonds by strolling around the desert or the jungle. One day we'll start a new world, open up our inventory, and we'll already have diamonds. (Well, maybe not, but you get my point.)
EDIT: There really is a new mob. The Wither will drop potatoes, mark my words.
...which still doesn't change the fact that it takes a grand total of sixteen clicks to install BTW.
1: Open the download link for Modloader.
2: Click the button in the webpage to download Modloader.
3: Open the BTW Download page.
4: Click the button to download BTW.
5-6-7: Open \.minecraft by searching %appdata% in the Start menu and clicking through the \local folder
8: Open .minecraft\bin
9: Unzip Modloader into its own folder.
10: Unzip BTW into its own folder.
11-12: Open minecraft.jar
13: Open Modloader folder
14: Drag Modloader into minecraft.jar
15: Open BTW folder containing the necessary files.
16: Drag BTW into minecraft.jar
Congratulations, you've installed BTW.
Also, thank you for deleting all of those posts, JojHeywood. I love how I posted something (mostly) unrelated and somehow got dragged into the flame war.
Love how people think 1.3.2 mods are magically multiplayer mods because "omg singleplayer is just mp connected locally". ****ing facedesk.
In their defense, that's how it's explained on the MC Launcher ("Single-player now runs a server internally" to be precise). Since everyone associates "server" with SMP, and since LAN is a variety of multiplayer, it's a quick jump to SSP=SMP. I was actually one of those people, until I looked for details. Which is the thing - instead of looking to get details on how this works, they jump up and go "Since singleplayer is multiplayer, singleplayer mods are multiplayer mods." It's not even as though the information is hard to find - I Googled it. So they can be forgiven for the assumption, but not for their ignorance. Which, in my humble opinion, is worse.
The ignorance doesn't make me want to head-desk as much as head-hibachi.
Nothing works. I'm using the water wheel and the windmill blades to try and power a Mill Stone. I have the wheel on an axel, then Gear Box, then Axel, then Millstone. Nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I am on creative mode.
Is the millstone being powered from above or below? It seems to me from the description that you have it being powered from the side. My millstones are powered by windmill and they're all working.
You know, I've been wondering for awhile why on earth people were saying "ima" all the time. At first, I just thought it was isolated English language fail, but it's definitely all over the place.
I personally say that because that's just how I learned to say it. It had nothing to do with Star Wars characters or any of that, it's just how I learned it. It's also quicker to sat "Ima go do X" than "I'm going to go do X". You'll notice that I don't use it in online posts for the same reason I don't use "u" and "lol," (because it's stupid) and I also don't use it when talking to authority figures and acquaintances because it's blatant slang.
Off-topic and late, I know, but I thought people might like to know that not everyone is a miniature version of Jar-Jar Binks.
-Removed option to disable Hardcore Sheep. It's just the way the mod works.

Ah screw it, I'm deal with it. 4 updates in 4 days, immediately after a humongous update. No mortal should be capable of that. Now is when I wish I had some cash to toss at you instead of just saying thanks.
this is the best mod i ever downloaded . i have an idea for another use of hemp fibers. you could use them to make fishing nets to catch fish in a larger quantity
We already have that feature with Dynamite. Granted, you have to swim around and collect them, but still.
EDIT: Ack, ninja'd. Again. You post really fast, FC.
Hey FlowerChild I was wondering if you were planing on making a multiplayer version of this mod, because I want to make a multiplayer LP of it.
If you look to the top-right of the webpage, you'll notice a little text field with a magnifying glass inside it.
If you look to the bottom of the webpage, you'll notice clickable links that will take you to past pages.
I almost asked a question regarding what mods ARE compatible with BTW but from what Ive seen in this thread I only expect a rude and condecending answer.
I'll help you out: http://sargunster.co...patibility_List That said, thread-search is a beautiful thing. The only reason I posted the link again is because I happened to have it open in another tab. This is from about 4 pages back, I believe.
When people are condescending here, someone's done something to earn it. If you act like a decent human being and make sure you have a legitimate problem, people are more than likely going to be nice. If, however, you post stupid complaints or things that have been asked 9001 times before, or outright insult people, everyone up to and including the forum moderators will sarcasm at you.

If I saw what I think I saw, you've just opened yourself up to more people whining about certain features. Not that it really matters, but still.
Also, that gatehouse is an excellent feature. Netherbrick does look good, I must admit.

Not the traditional use of the pastry, but here you are anyway.
