I've been playing Minecraft for a long time, I first joined this forum August of 2011 just to show you how old I am haha.
Anyway, over that time I have played a lot of horrible Minecraft adventure maps, as well as a lot of good ones, but those are irrelevant for now. I myself even made a god-awful adventure map (link on my signature lol), and I believe that most makers have had that one map that they just like to pretend never existed in the first place.
Well, in the name of comedy, I want to play those maps on video and openly mock them (in a loving way). I know all of y'all are super creative but sometimes its nice to have a laugh at yourself. Not only that, but hey, it'll give you more attention to that old map, and anything new you got.
Let me know if you're interested by commenting, I'll play anything!
Here's my Youtube channel. I haven't tried an MC video yet, but thats what I wanna try!
I was thinking about doing a video series where I play horrible adventure maps and just rail on them. Do you think anybody would watch? Any suggestions for god-awful maps?
Welcome to what I hope to be the pilot of a future series of map reviews spearheaded by myself, firewall245. As a fellow player of this beloved game Minecraft and an avid map player, I found myself bogged down much too often by maps that were less than par in my eyes. For me, I felt that it was my duty as a learned speaker of American English to provide the people with the cream of the crop, while providing the creators of the map with constructive criticism on how to better their maps in the near future. At this point I would provide you with my qualifications, but that is just it, I have none! When reading my posts you get nothing but the opinion of the common player, the voice found within your own head if that voice was an extreme stickler for story and enjoyed to play underrated maps. But I digress! The only thing standing between you, I, and a flurry of reviews are the lack of maps up for review at the time, which is where I need you map creators! Send me links to your creations that you have put your (Minecraft) blood, sweat, and tears into, but be warned, I take influence from Zero Punctuation, so I most likely will be brutally honest. Cheers,firewall245
I'm making an survival map, and I want it to be set to a constant night time. I know how to build the simple circuit with command blocks, but what I don't know is how to make it continue to work even after the player moves a couple of chunks away. Is there a way to avoid setting up a ton of them all over the map, or does it have to happen like this?
yes it now suports more ids that forge adds and dosent replace em just uses em
Thanks
Also, when I use the forester over a selected region, the forester doesn't evenly disperse them, it just clumps them together in a small circle around the center of the region
Hey, I've started modding minecraft and I wanted to ask a couple questions
Biggest question - can somebody tell me what each of the parameters for onItemUse is?
public boolean onItemUse(ItemStack par1ItemStack, EntityPlayer par2EntityPlayer, World par3World, int par4, int par5, int par6, int par7, float par8, float par9, float par10)
I know-
par1ItemStack is the item you are using
par2 is the player
par3 is the current world
par4 is the x-coord
par5 is the y-coord
par6 is the z-coord
but what are par7, 8, 9, and 10?
Also-
how can you check the block that is currently selected?
how can you check the item in the player's hotbar that is selected?

i.e. Instead of replacing unknown ids, it just uses a purple box instead

I mean, at the coordinates the player is looking at, figure out what the block is.
Thanks for the last question though
