Basically the idea is to make the game challenging, and punish the player for dying.
- Death in the main world results in a 3 day sentence to Hell (Nether) - Mob damage on high - PVP OFF - Hunger will take your health all the way to 0 so keep food with you. - No warps - No /home - Chests lock - Zombies break down wooden doors

Everything else I want pretty much default. I downloaded Ultra Hardcore, but it seems to ban permanently. What combination of plugins would I need to achieve what I want here? Thanks

Anyway, the server population is slowly starting to die off and could use some new blood. I have moved the spawn to a far out location since the old spawn was getting crowded. There is plenty of fresh space to set up a camp.
I just got help with this the other day and have been running a greylist server for a few days now using PermissionsEX. They have a wiki page that will guide you right through setup. It was surprisingly easy once I sat down and did it.
I've heard from people lately that iConomy is buggy and causes a lot of lag these days. Is there any truth to that? It seems pretty popular, so I tend to not believe that.
Also I apologize, I forgot the last detail for the store plugin. I would prefer something where users don't have to type in commands. Maybe something where they can click a sign that says the item and price or something like that. Do you know of anything that functions in that way?
I would like to install a plugin that adds some sort of economy system. Here are a few things I would like it to do.
1) I would like people to obtain currency by selling things like stacks of cobble, gold bars, diamond, etc. Say a stack of cobble sells for 5 currency, a gold bar sells for 15 and a diamond sells for 45 or something like that.
2) I don't want the ability for people to make their own store. Instead what I want to do is create a single server store where I set the items they can buy and the cost (in currency obtained above) of each item or stack of items. I would much prefer that they have to physically be IN the store to buy items.
Can anyone help me find the right plugin or set of plugins to use and give me some tips in using them? I'm completely unfamiliar with economy plugins.
I should say I'm running a Bukkit server with the newest version of Bukkit.
Thank you. I actually tested it on my test server with a few plugins and everything works as intended. I'm afraid to throw it up before bed so I'll wait till tomorrow when I can be on for the first few hours to make sure everything is going smoothly. I think it will make it a lot easier for people to join and play anytime.
ok sorry to post again. This is my final config file before going to bed. The plan is to get it all right, then install it on my server and use my pre-built config files.
Will that give each of those groups those abilities? Will that give me access to EVERY COMMAND for every plugin, or do I need to add each and every one to be able to use them as admin? Thank you and goodnight.
ok this is what I have so far, and it's working, but I still need to add my regular permissions. It also looks like groups don't have inheritance. Am I wrong about that? Do I need to add each permission to each group?
My admin permissions are '*'. Does that mean I have every single permission for every plugin I install? From there can I then just add individual nodes I want other groups to have?
I run a survival server that's been getting bigger and bigger. It's gotten to the point where it's becoming too hard to be the only OP, so I've started trying to use permissions. I'm good with php and html so I figured permissions would be a breeze, but I just can't seem to figure it out :/
I tried using bPermissions first, and even watched both of their setup videos for like half an hour. For some reason I screwed that all up and went back to OP. Next I tried using bukkit's default permissions.yml. I made that up then realized I still need some other plugin to manage groups, and at that point I got completely confused again.
I can't seem to find a plugin that I can figure out. I get confused when trying to add nodes because both methods I used seemed to do them differently. I couldn't even figure out how to give myself the default server commands.
I'm getting desperate here.
If someone could point me to a specific permission plugin to use and help me set up permissions for Guest, Builder, Mod, Admin, that would be amazing.

SimpleAdmin
Worldedit
Worldguard
Those are really the only ones I need permissions for. Build rights fro builder and higher, some simpleadmin commands for mods, and logblock, worldedit, worldguard for admin + all default OP commands.
