Ehushagen: Its a toss up each time, I'd have to see the map thats causing the issue. That error is a very generic thing. It's the car version of "My car wont start"

Ahh, OK. I ended up creating a fresh world using the same seed as the corrupted one with MinecraftLandGenerator and then used MCEdit to copy/paste the developed area of the corrupted world into the new one. Seemed to work well enough, despite being a pain in the ass. I normally don't run backups of these temporary worlds that I run between new Minecraft versions and recommended builds of craftbukkit being released, but there's something rotten going on with these 1.6.x versions of the vanilla server, so I guess it won't hurt to start.

DuffCraft Guys: I found some bad chunks, which were likely causing the lag/login problems. Will be uploading overnight.

Xorn: Also fixed, will post in the morning.

My 1.6.5 server is constantly corrupting worlds, and although they are just temporary until there's a stable craftbukkit release and I bring back my usual setup, it's getting quite annoying. My server is throwing the exact same errors as Xorn, so I'm curious as to what you did to fix his. I've run it through both Chunkster and MCEdit, both which find no errors.

Using the JohnSmith texture pack and the Millenaire mod with a couple building replacements. The image is 1024x600 for my rooted Nook's wallpaper, but I made an identical one at 3360x1050 to span across the two monitors on my desktop and it looks amazing!

Yeah, it must have been something odd on my end. Just tried it on a different world and it works exactly as it's supposed to, saving the 'biomes' directory in the root. Weird.

Anyways, still loving this app! Is there any way to increase the max memory used with the x64 binaries past the 1800MB limit that the slider allows for? It's taking 9 passes to render my SMP world and it would be nice if it could do it in less. I'm admittedly not too familiar with mcmap, though, so maybe just throwing more RAM at it wouldn't produce my desired effect, I'm not sure.

No, there's no 'biomes' folder created in the root 'world' directory at all - it creates it inside the 'region' directory. Not a big deal, it's just a matter of moving the 'biomes' folder over.

Noticed a bug with this version (although it may have been with past versions too, I haven't tried rendering biomes before). I've run the Biome Extractor, and it creates the 'biomes' directory inside the world's 'regions' directory, but when I run mcmapDZ, it errors at this point and then crashes:

It does work fine if I choose to not render biomes.

Edit: But if I move the 'biomes' folder into the root 'world' folder, all works as it should. I guess maybe mcmapDZ just needs to have it's default location for the 'biomes' folder changed?

The only console command I was using was the fixbiometextures command.

I'm having issues with my google map render. It renders fine, it's uploaded to the server fine, the tiles are there (http://www.teh3l3m3nts.com/Map/tiles/day.0.131.127.png) but the map is just black and the markers show nothing. View the map here: http://www.teh3l3m3nts.com/Map/

I've tried the things suggested in this post: viewtopic.php?p=3045959#p3045959

The center-x and center-y thing didn't work, and I had imagemagick installed. Thoughts?

Sounds like the permissions aren't set correctly for the tiles. I use WinSCP or Filezilla for uploading various images to my server and have to set their permissions to '0644' for them to be web-viewable. If you are using one of the two above programs, you can right-click on the 'tiles' folder and choose Properties (in WinSCP, unsure of the the comparable option in Filezilla), and set permissions that way.

I love DZ renders and I'm really looking forward to the release that includes the options featured in your screenshots. Do you have plans to release separate x86 and x64 versions in the future, or should I just go out and grab the x64 versions of hdmake and mcmap and replace them separately?

This is great! My server has only a single core, but as the world gets larger and larger, it's becoming more and more inefficient to share a gigantic png file. With nice -n 20, it spits out the render very quickly, and will definitely cut down on bandwidth usage. So thanks a lot!

I'm curious if there would be the possibility to change the orientation of the map via a commandline option, though. As I recall, there was an issue with doing so that kept Minecraft Overviewer from having that ability, but I'm wondering if pigmap could?

I know on SA you had said that there's a gui for this, but would a commandline option be viable? Would be great for those of us running headless linux servers.

Or for that matter, the ability to output as a .schematic file that WorldEdit or MCEdit could import into an existing world would be great too!

If your map renderer of choice supports commandline usage (which I believe most do), it would be fairly trivial to write a small batch script that uses the MCRegion packer/unpacker tool to unpack your world to a temporary directory, render it, and then delete the temp files. Here's an example that I just put together for myself using the unpacker, the biome extractor, and mcmap. Feel free to use it, but you'll obviously have to change directory names and locations to fit your needs.

    java -jar d:\games\minecraft\biome-extractor\RegionTool.jar unpack c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\saves\World1 d:\temp\World1

    java -jar d:\games\minecraft\biome-extractor\MinecraftBiomeExtractor.jar -nogui d:\temp\World1

    d:\games\minecraft\mcmap\mcmap.exe d:\temp\World1 -north -biomes -texture c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks\quainterly.png -file c:\users\USERNAME\desktop\World1-Day.png

    d:\games\minecraft\mcmap\mcmap.exe d:\temp\World1 -north -biomes -night -texture c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks\quainterly.png -file c:\users\USERNAME\desktop\World1-Night.png

    del /s /q d:\temp\World1

    rmdir /s /q d:\temp\World1
