Well, so it must be a HELL of a coincidence. I had my whole world build up, then suddenly my internet goes down and at the same time my game crashes with a message saying it crashed because of lost connection. Then my connection comes back and I load my world aaaand: HALF OF IT IS GONNE! It never happened before (nor did I ever lost connection during a game before).
I haven't found this problem anywhere in the internet, so I will start this topic.
So, I was playing my single player (hardcore mode) game last night and I lost my connection to the internet. So immediately my game crashed. So when my connection was reestored, I loaded my game and something bizarre happened: I was standing at the exact location where I was at the moment the game crashed (I was inside my house, and I had a pretty good developed world), but there was just HALF OF MY HOUSE there!!!! The other half WAS MISSING, and it was just like the way the terrain was when I started the game the first time!!!! And all of my stuff, including a lot of diamonds, was in the missing part of the house!!!! I got SO MAD, cause it was a hardcore game and I was playing that for a long time without dying!!!! So, how was this possible?! I can't believe that for playing single player now, if your internet connection goes down in the middle of the game it crashes!!!
I'm getting this too and this is freaking annoying! I can't believe that in the bug tracker this bug is marked as low priority!!!
This is tottaly game breaking for me as I always build extensive railroad system conecting all my sites!
If I know about this before upgrading I would totally stay with the 1.4.4 flying torch flame bug! THAT wasn't a game breaking and a low priority bug! Screw this!
BUG: Stuck on fly down to earth when first starting new map.
VERSION: 1.4.4
DESCRIPTION: When i first start a new map when map is loading and i start my guy is jumping up and down real fast. He is stuck can view side to side but cant move from spot. Have to dig down 1 block to free stuck. and seems to be fine after.

And thanks god that this was not just me that was getting these flashing floating torch flames all around! At first I thought I was hallucinating! Don't they test the patches before releasing them? Jesus!..
But, do you plan to populate it with villagers? I'm asking because I just happen to be building my first village and now that you can cure villager zombies I'm populating it, and I would like to exchange some info about that. Thanks
Please please someone explain to me how do I install this? I downloaded the 'client' and it downloads a .jar file and when I execute it it says that ocurred a java esception and nothing happens! What am I doing wrong? Please help me! Thank you!
I'm sorry for the noob question, but, if I install the pre-release now, how should I proceed when the official patch is out? Do I have to uninstall the pre-release first or do I just let the game auto-update itself? Thank you.
WTF! Why don't they make an announcement about their servers being down??? This is very annoying that I can't play a game I paid for, and all I wanna do is play the single player! And they have nothing to say about this? I'm gonna hit constantly the connect button untill it connects!!!
After playing thousands of flawless hours of Minecraft, my game started to freeze out of the blue. And the last time it happened, my PC won`t restart anymore! Same thing happened on my Macbook. Game freezes, have to shut down manually. Although I can still turn my mac on, I can feel that it`s not the same anymore. I can say for sure that minecraft has destroyed my PC and made some strange things happen in my mac. Also, everything started to happen right after I made a clean reinstall of the game in both my mac and pc. I deleted the .minecraft folder and started the exe and it downloaded the game content again. I started the game, it had no sound and after a couple of minuts, the freezing. Now I have no PC. And as I said, my mac is acting strange... Can`t believe, but I`m sure minecraft screwed them up!!!!
After patch 1.2 I've been getting these problens with some blocks not being lightened correctly. Like in the entrance of some caves, some blocks that should be getting some light from the sun are completely blackened out. And in the Nether, some lava waterfalls (or lavafalls?) are just not radiating any light. Also, the torches inside village's houses doesn't light. I have to replace them with new ones to get light.
Couldn't find any other post about it. And before this patch I haven't had any problen at all.
