In your Retool, are you going to add more basic weapons? It seems that it would be hard to make a flint sword as it can't be shaped (it's a rock) it seems that the obvious primary weapon you would create would be a spear. Is that something you'll look into?

    EDIT: np :smile.gif:

If iron is going to be harder to get, if it's going to be the metal after copper/bronze, then having at least 2 flint in your hand should allow you to light blocks on fire (possibly only wood blocks though, as this would realistically be a weaker fire-starter)

Id rather to that but if I do that I would have to make ReTool require GeoCraft to work because it needs those ores to make its tools. So Id have the make ReTool just be an addon mod and not standalone. =( unless you can figure out a way to get around that.

Its nice to have more but the proablem is I would want them to have uses that other things in the game cant fill. Brass would be almost the same a bronze, silver would filll about the same roll as gold. Plus its hard to find colors to make them look different from each other lol. I like realism but I also dont want to crowd a game that already has space issues. But I agree it would be cool if pulled off right.

Realistically, iron should be a much darker grey than the steely color it currently uses. If you were to recolor iron darker, steel and *silver* could have more room to have their own colors.

more brick blocks? Limestone bricks, for example. To make a brick block but with each brick using the limestone color and texture.

If I might make a suggestion? I've had many ideas a lot like this for a while and i was ecstatic to find this mod. I would like to say though, that for the bronze, if you aren't going to make tin tools, why not make it uncommon but drop multiple tin ore powders each of which could be used to smelt bronze. I don't think you need such a complicated system to make steel -weak steels have been produced for centuries using very primitive tools. I would raise the point though, that coal was not really used as a fuel until the early industrial revolution, maybe mid 1700's? it seems odd that if you start essentially in the stone age with flint tools that an industrial age fuel source would be used. It seems more realistic to me if coal was not an easily-obtained fuel, rather something to obtain later in the game, something that would heat your furnace to a temperature where steel could be formed (steel is formed when the crystal structure of iron loosens when it is melted and a carbon atom is trapped within it when it recrystalizes). A simpler wooden torch could suffice, (I'm not really suggesting coal torches be removed, although I've never heard of a coal torch in real life...) a simpler, easier to make torch could have a slightly lower light level. Non-coal burning furnaces would not be able to smelt steel. Also maybe just altar the GUI of all furnaces to make a secondary component optional?

    Hope you found this useful.

Over all, I find the realism you have created exceptional, so many mods are just ridiculus (they have things like bronze ore) I would be saddened and off put to see the realism disappear.
