    nice texture pack mate, looks brilliant. gives me a bit of a nostalgic feeling being that i used to LOVE arcanum. on a side not if you have not seen that game, it would be a great idea starter for your texture pack.

    I still have Arcanum in my collection! Judging by your name you sound like "League of Extraordinary Gentleman" might have been a favoured film. I certainly loved it, along with 'Van Helsing', etc. All good stuff to feed the imagination. :biggrin.gif:
    :iapprove:

    i do enjoy that film, all though i am a bit more of a classic going for the book of Dorian Gray. The only reason i use -ey at the end is cause it is the same as my last name.

    What have you still got left to work on for the pack mate?
    a list would be good so we can help you brain storm :smile.gif:

    I'm not really sure if there's a point to this topic outside of the following.

    -An easy place to get updates on the painterly pack in the same place we look for updates on other minecraft skins.
    -Talk to other people on the forums about the skin, or modding the skin.

    Because this topic is updated by someone who is really obsessive about checking the painterly pack site for updates and not by the creator of the painterly pack...

    -we can not give praise or criticism that's directed at the creator of the pack.

    Telling each other to shut up and ego tripping over who is right and who is wrong is kind of stupid and derails the topics we could be talking about. Such as talking about our own personal changes we've made to add our own tiles to the painterly pack. Maybe we could get some of those changes going here. Form a collection of tiles or whatever. Then maybe someone could be like "here's this tile I made to complement the painterly pack" and then we can all be like "oh that's good, that works really well" or like "no I don't like that, I don't think I'll use that." Or maybe even be like "that tile looks cool, but I have some constructive criticism." But then, like... not fight about it.

    I understand the compulsion to type up silly replies to people's post when there's SOMEONE WRONG ON THE INTERNET. It's totally what I'm doing right now. Mostly to help this Jamsponge guy cool your jets and refocus the conversation back on topic. I understand the need to be right, but just let it go. Somethings you just have to drop.

    i do have a bad habit of fishing reactions out of people. well done sir. i agree on the whole making this a modding the painterly pack thread.

    @canadian

    yes your absolutely correct, i have no grasp on the english language. I'm completely illiterate and i have no place other than to kill myself cause someone dislikes me on the internet. You are correct, it would suggest that, but other people may have worked on it, or perhaps kas is short for something, im not 100% on this cause im not a mind reader as you are.

    and if you are helpful then why are you bothering to be such an asshole? and about my little quip, about you apparently not being helpful? if you can correctly quote with your elite literacy where i called you unhelpful then i will buy you a cookie.

    Since i only stated that i could see why the 'forums' were flamed so much by other people on the net i cannot see how i am calling you unhelpful in all of this. unless of course some how you are suggesting that you are the forums? in which case my apologies your highness.

    @pixel, i will see what happens. I have mainly just been dabbling in colour corrections and mod merging recently for my own personal use, but i have ideas for a texture pack, its just a matter of finding time to sit down and nut it out.

    would definitely like to see this, even if just to see how viable it is in game. (i would find it easier to make a 64x64 or 128x128 tp is all) so +1 to a sample of this.

    so he is not only negative but abusive, i see what people mean about these being the worst and least helpful forums on the internet.

    anyway, those of you that do care, editing these packs are really simple, which means you can have your own unique look with things.
    @pixel
    yeah the bone ones look kinda lame really, i was hoping that they would look cool. as for making the leaves a mixture of colours, cant imagine it would be too hard, i could look into doing a better mix of autumn colours for you on the weekend?

    would be nice if we could get the feed back to kas (or whoever did create the painterly pack)

    Hi just a quick word to say i love your work and the customization is amazing

    You do realize Kas himself probably doesn't read this (although I could be wrong), and that Kas didn't make this thread?

    You remind me of all the people on YouTube who watch videos of people like Justin Bieber and then leave a comment along the lines of "you're a great singer Justin, I love you", believing that Justin Bieber himself might watch the video and see the comment.

    >.>

    Oh I'm awfully sorry for not realising he would never read this thread. My deepest apologies to YOU sir.
    I feel so bad for giving positive feedback. but on the other hand i did give you a chance to vent your negativity at the internet my dear friend. so why not leave some positive feedback for a great mod, even if it is never read by the mod owner? no? you would rather post a completely irrelevant comment. well done, i commend you.
    I shudder to think the maker of a Minecraft texture artist, might actually read forums once in a while. that is too far fetched.

    anyway,

    how cool are the candles he added for Halloween? i rate candles a whole lot higher than torches, might even go about making them into 32x textures for personal use. Keep praising this mod guys, its worth it. In fact constructive criticism and praise are the only real way to push artist to their potential. so don't be afraid to point out constructively what you think of peoples work.
