Do not buy a prebuilt computer. Anything you find for that price is going to be horrible, including the iBuyPower above me. I highly recommend building your own. You will get what you want if you build one.
I'm not even going to try and claim that it's worth what you're paying for, most retailers would give you an i5 and 760 for the same price at the minimum.
God that is horrible. Not that you are bad at finding computers, but a decent prebuilt, especially on BestBuy, does not exist.
OP, please consider building a computer. You'll be much happier in the long run.
No, that would not be able to record at all. You should build a computer, as it would get you to the performance your need within your budget, while a prebuilt cannot.
My friend is looking for a laptop, and while he's not going to be doing much gaming on it, he is going to be using it with a capture card and probably some other things that need a decent graphics chip. What do you suggest for him for under $500? Yes, he needs a laptop, I've already talked to him about that. We are in the US.
No, that's a horrible computer. Build it yourself man. You will get a WAY better machine for the amount you spend. It's not hard to do at all, just look it up. Plus you feel great because you know how everything works.
Thank you both for the extra advice... Gonna order the stuff for my first build!
I have some experience with electronics in terms of soldering, circuits, making small guitar amps and pedals... but I'm sure I'm going to run into some issues with a build (probably more on the software/OS side of things)... I'll try to find some build threads to read prior to starting... Should be lots of good info out there.
thanks again
You're gunna have a blast. We don't get a lot of people like you on here; people who are open to changing their mind.
Thank you all for responding, but the reason i set such a high price is because i wanted to see what the best PC possible is(for minecraft and in the future other games as well). Also let me clarify a bit: 500 fps on vanilla so that if i put mods or anything (servers, etc.) it'll AT LEAST go to 100 fps or somewhere around that line. Thank you for your opinions.
Edit : Thank you Alexx, i'll probably will go with the PC you told me but If I keep saving, i'll get the one thatNialltheawesome said. Thank you very much!!!
Do not spend that much on a computer. You will regret it. Minecraft will not get an FPS boost with the extra $3,000 you're throwing away dumping into that machine. $1,500 max.

This is much better. You still should pick a better case, and I'd suggest getting 8gb of RAM if possible.
