Love the mod, but just wondering. Is there a way to stop the items from bobbing around and rotating? I'd love to see a mod that makes items 3d without the bobbing/rotating effect.
I've seen a few autumn forests but not spawned in any on the latest version yet. My suggestion would be to create a world in creative, explore it to find coords for autumn forest, get the seed (type /seed) then recreate it in survival mode with that same seed.
Yeah, I've been doing that for the last hour, but I havent even seen one in game yet. I'd prefer that someone could post a seed where you spawn inside or very close to an autumn biome.
Hi, I just got this mod a few hours ago and I already love it. However, I have yet to see an autumn forest biome. Does anyone have a 1.4.2 seed where you spawn in an autumn forest?
Making a mod isn't simple. You need to know how to code with java and be familiar with Minecraft's code. If you don't know how to code with java there really isn't much you can do, sorry. also, this is in the wrong section.
I think the idea is genious. Now that Minecraft finally have gotten a huge ocean biome, waves would complete it. But I still think the Minecraft boats need some upgrades, it looks like a bowl..
Thank you! I think boats should be bigger too, I may turn this thread into an ocean overhaul thread. I'll think about it some and post my ideas later.
I was doing some thinking on what would be a great aesthetic addition to Minecraft and it hit me: Waves in oceans. Now that there is an actual ocean biome and it is much larger than previous bodies of water, waves would be an interesting addition to an otherwise totally barren biome. I'm probably not the first to suggest this, but I have a few ideas that could be really cool.
First, the actual "waves". Now minecraft already has 1-pixel changes in water height, similar to snow tiles. these half, quarter, etc. blocks can as of now only be created with some kind of block editing software e.g worldedit. these water tiles could be added to oceans to form ripples in the water. the height of the tiles can only be changed in 1 pixel increments, so a 6 pixel high tile could only have 5 pixel and 7 pixel tiles next to it. Obviously, there would need to be some sort of limit on how high these waves can get, unless there is a storm (more on storms later). These tiles will also change in 1 pixel increments, keeping with the maximum of 1 pixel difference between connecting tiles (So if a 6 pixel high tile changes to 5 pixels, all of the tiles next to it would have to either lower by 1 or stay the same) This may be hard to picture, so I'll try to draw up a sketchup image if I have the time.
Now we get to storms. regular minecraft storms are fine, but just like real life storms, they make waves more erratic. A regular minecraft storm can make wave tiles change in 2 pixel increments, with a maximum of connected tiles changing by 2. This would make the ocean appear more lifelike and would be a nice touch to make minecraft look more interesting. this may cause a decent amount of lag, but then again, it may not.
in addition, waves on the shoreline act a little different then waves in the open ocean. waves would slowly start to build as they get closer to the shore, and "crash" back down a few pixels when they hit the shore, accompanied by a brand new particle effect of the wave "breaking". Finally, these waves would slide up the shore as a 1 pixel tile, and recede afterwards.
Thats about it. Any comments, suggestions and criticism are appreciated. Thank you for reading!
it shows up in mcedit as 512.... and i already did patch it, TWICE :[[
That is indeed strange. It seems like some of the textures work, but others dont. could it have something to do with the particular pack you are using? Try another 512X pack and if it gives the same result, I'm not sure how else I can help.
im not trying to impress people....
your the one posting pics of your PRECIOUS graphics card for all us "posers" and your super duper cool computer....
Ok dude, if you dont like this guy, stop posting here. The guy just wants some help.
As for the texture pack issue, I'm at a loss. Your computer is really nice, and 8 gigs is plenty of memory. do you get any kind of error, or does the game just close?
HAHAHAHAHA!!! my computer cant handle it? lmao, tell that to my Corei7 at 3ghz, 16 gig of corsair Vengeance, and GTX 470. this is an underlying problem.

If you're interested, I found one about 20 blocks from spawn on the seed "-344842046", minus the quotes. A village also spawns not far off!

That would be awesome if you could get it to work.

Hmm, it shouldn't be your graphics card, its pretty great. Plenty of RAM too. Very strange...

Sorry dude, just trying to help here. Then you probably need to allocate more RAM to java, here is a good tutorial if you dont know how:
