If only someone could decipher the codes from the previous snapshots and pice it all together. Perhaps in the End there might be more "lore" hidden about what Minecraft actually is, as right now the people that have actually read the credits believe it to be a dream. I say Game Theory should take a look at this =P

Things that'd make this mod epic, make structure need support, so buildings can collapse if you do things right/wrong. Also make blocks that fall hurt you depending on their speed, and make them inter-actable, like crafting tables and finances, and being able to walk on them. Glass and redstone lamps should break from explosions, and you could maybe add item physics too! perhaps even mob physics if they get blown up or drown, they could float to the top of the water.

This would definitely be a cool addition to the new icebergs in the cold ocean biomes, although I think it might be simpler to just have strays with frost walker spawn instead. Nonetheless, support!

You're talking about illogical fallacies and yet you compare dragons to sharks. If they were being serious about not adding sharks because they are endangered, it's because they don't want to encourage violence against sharks and make a statement. Dragons don't exist. You can't discourage violence against dragons because they don't exist. They are completely and utterly different things.

Quick suggestion for the entrance to the dimension, perhaps some kind of "Frist Gear", frosty like the dimension, but hinting at the steampunk aspects? It would likely be found in some kind of structure, and once activated (not quite sure how), it would make a ker-chunk noise, turn a bit (like 90 degrees, two frames so it would go diagonal then straight again), and then the portal would appear inside of it. Could be activated with some sort of crafted item, the recipe for which you get when you enter the structure.
Ideas for how it would look below, each pixel is a block. I could imagine it being either on/in the ground, or on/in a wall.

Perhaps it could be a boot or even leggings enchantment (there are no leggings enchantments as far as I know, it'd be nice to have at least one) called Anchor. I like the idea! Definitely useful, full support.

For visual purposes like the opening of a chest accompanies by a creak, this could be useful, but it wouldn't be for anything else. Functionality wise, the redstone repeater accomplishes the same delay function, and without adding some sort of slow transition into the code for the moving blocks like pistons and doors, then it simply wouldn't work. While I would definitely not complain if this was added, I doubt it ever will be.

Snakes, foxes and lizards could be great atmospheric mobs, but I doubt they would be too useful. Kangaroos and like fishg suggested, coyotes, would be a much better choice, you'd just have to come up with some sort of utility for them. One idea for kangaroos could be that they could carry smaller mobs perhaps? Like a minecart that follows you without a rail, in a way. As for coyotes, they could maybe be tamed (perhaps even temporarily?) and do something like lead you to the gold-filled abandoned mineshafts or something of the sort.

Like Genius_Idiot said, that's the only giant mob and it doesn't work. That's why they were never actually added, they've finicky, have awful hitboxes, and don't really work from a gameplay perspective.

Larger land mobs like that simply wouldn't work in Minecraft as it is right now, at least not if they use the normal methods of walking. Plus, it would either be fast enough that it outruns the player, slow enough that's it's just an easy boss, or it would need some sort of ranged attack, which I suppose could be pretty simple to add. Actually, thinking about it, it could only spawn in really flat areas, and automatically go up 1-2 block ledges, perhaps break blocks otherwise.

I like pretty much all of these ideas! It might be a bit too much, but otherwise it's all great, expect for a few nitpicks like the addition of guns, and the Illager golem being newer than normal villages (I think it should look older and decrepit)

Smaller suggestion for the crystals, they could be used to change the enchantment shine color on enchanted armor/equipment

Well, I didn't really communicate that I suppose, it was just something I was thinking.

Hey guys, for the feel and theme of this dimension, I just want to know what people's thoughts on that are. A lot of people seem to think it should be frigid, desolate, inhospitable and lonely. When I originally suggesting a frost dimension I was thinking it would be more like a winter wonderland of sorts, with cozy areas and such (Of course now that the steampunk area is more of a "destroy nature" thing, that area would have to be desolate and inhospitable).

Technically the world is flat, but it does have an end where it will stop detecting collision and you'll just fall through the world, although that's 60 thousand kilometers from the center. The sun and moon are probably far enough away that they would end up going through the world in the "Farlands" (where collision doesn't happen), if you want to think about it that way.
EDIT: Looking into it, the falling through the world thing might have been patched, not quite sure anymore.

I think you underestimate what kids understand, they know what liquids are =P

I was thinking it would be high up, hidden among the clouds, but it doesn't really matter all that much imo.
