Also, from what I have seen the new launcher doesn't support mods. I downloaded the new launcher and tried to load 1.5.2 but it just installed a new version of 1.5.2 and I had to go back to my backup. So if I still want to play with my mods (I just have Rei's Minimap and Inventory Tweaks, still extremely useful though) I have to use the old launcher.
I fixed the problem by deleting the .minecraft folder and the .exe and then updating java and first running the game in my browser to get the jars and stuff and then downloading the .exe again and playing it from there. Thank you however.
Okay, so I guess this applies to both unmodded and modded but the main issue is when I attempt to mod my game. So let's start with my game completely vanilla. Every time I load it I get an error that occurs when the Mojang logo comes up that says,
"The application or DLL C:\Documents and Settings\...\.minecraft\bin\natives\OpenAL64.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
However I can press "OK" and get on perfectly fine, with sound (as it seems the primary problem is with this error) and everything working alright.
The main problem I'm having is when I edit my bin (I'm attempting to add Forge on so I can put some other mods on) it isn't able to get to this error, and instead gets me stuck at the loading screen just before the Mojang logo where the green bar is almost at the end and it is stuck at "Done Loading."
Now I'm pretty confident that the two problems are related, though I may be wrong. Either way I would really like thee problem to be fixed and all help is appreciated. Thanks!
Was on a server with a buddy, playing around with the new music discs in creative during 1.1 when they came out. I pop in the distorted disc 11. I listen to it and I think it's a little creepy, then an Enderman pops up right in front of me and kills my friend. From that moment on I thought that the disc summoned Enderman, and it wasn't until (much) later that I got the guts to play it again

I downloaded this and spawned in some cabin. And there is no way out... Any hints or ideas on what to do?? There is a gold block, but in the cabin there are no buttons/levers that I can obtain to open it up...
Yeah there has actually been creepers inside of there. I killed my third one, and went around to posting this.
But the slabs aren't on the bottom half but rather on the top half of the block. So I think it might be they are spawning under the blocks and popping up to attack. I've never seen one spawn, just walked in a had to kill some.
So I have a problem. As the title says, I consistently have creepers spawning inside of my house. I'm a veteran Minecraft player, so I know that the problem isn't light, my entire house is lit up. So that's the first peculiar thing. The other, is that no other mobs have spawned in my house, it just seems to be creepers. I'll walk in and suddenly there is one staring back at me threatening to blow up my furniture.
My floor is made of half-slabs and so far that is the only thing I can think is wrong with my house. I like the texture of stone half-slabs and wanted to take the easy way out so I only did half-slabs on the top of the blocks, rather than two in each space. Could this be the issue?? Thanks to anyone who can help.
I cant personally think of all the things that he has done rather than Notch. I just know that the latest version of minecraft comes out and that everyone worked on it, but I do also know he works hard and listens to the community from the things I've seen and remembered, I agree that he does help a lot :smile.gif:

So what if I turn the half-slabs into full-slabs?? Will that fix the problem??
