I believe that the idea of sharks being added has already been suggested, but I wanted to post my ideas and custom art about it. I'm open to criticism, since I'm new to Minecraft and know that some of my ideas are probably pretty bad and/or vague.
Hammerhead Mob AI: Passive, but aggressive when attacked. Is attracted to schools of fish, eating them when it finds them.This way it could add a little difficulty when looking for a place to fish. Spawns:The hammerhead spawns in shallow waters, usually near the coast. Drops:Fish that it has eaten(?)
Great White Mob AI: Aggressive. Like the hammerhead it is attracted to schools of fish. Unlike the hammerhead it is also attracted to moving boats and swimming players. Spawns:In deep waters, where schools of fish could be more common. Drops: Scales and teeth
Scales could be used to make stronger arrows that do more damage to enemies.

Teeth could be used like the scales, except that they could be used to make spike clubs.

The club could deal more damage than the sword, but not last as long.
Coincidence or not, the 19 second mark looks a whole lot like one of the World Wonder movies from Civ IV. Being a fan of the Civilization games, I wholeheartedly approve.
