I've played many of Vechs' CTM maps, but I've been a member of RMCT for about 6-8 months now, and I have quite a bit of experience with RFW! Maybe not as much as ski_trip, but I do have some xP!
I tried running the launcher, and it worked fine except that the text was missing and was replaced by white squares. This means I am unable to see what to stuff fill in to be able to play.
Turn off any resource packs, and/or turn on unicode font.
Good idea, however keep in mind that people can very easily misuse this. People already are making disturbing/NSFW skins in Minecraft, and this would just add to it. For example, people creating seizure-inducing animations. I think that this would be a great idea for a mod - of course, however, this isn't the mod requests thread xP. Another thing that would be cool is custom capes (not just minecon ones).
But another issue is that Minecraft is more so about the gaming aspect than what you look like. It's not like a lot of games, in that what you look like doesn't really matter (unless it's a steve skin or a stolen one). Minecraft is not a typical game, and these suggestions are going along what most typical game companies would do, which is bad becuase all of the sudden, players are now hacing to worry about what they look like, and they don't wanna look like a noob. As well, these PlayerAPI model changes are great for very important people in the Minecraft community, as they give them uniqueness.
Which brings me to my next point, that with this there would be more uniqueness, yet less. At the moment, Minecraft is extremely customizable in that you can draw anything in pixels and have it be your skin. With this idea you're suggesting, you're giving the player a set of presets to use. The only thing equivalent to the customization currently is that you could make your own models and use them for your skins, which would lead to far too much misuse.
Hence why it would work great for a mod, because a mod doesn't have to worry about these issues. It can change the game as much as it likes, hence "modification." Mojang has millions of people depending on them, while a mod is just a mod.
Still, however, it is a good idea :D! I've seen others suggest this but not in this amount of detail.

* Minecraft user Name - charburg * Age - 13 (Mature for my age) * Country - US * Favorite thing to do in Minecraft - As far as survival, mining - however, I love redstone, and creating with redstone is probably one of my most favorite things to do in Minecraft * Have you ever been part of a server? - Yes, many. I used to be part of another whitelisted SMP server, which went down due to lack of player support :/. I also hosted my own server for a while, but it went down as well due to lack of support. I've also been part of some very minor survival servers . * Why should you be added to the whitelist? - I really want another SMP, small community, mature, whitelisted survival server experience, as small community servers are always pretty awesome
If it's even possible, I request/am thinking that a mod similar to MumbleLink could be made, in which you could have 3D directional audio in minecraft, but rather than in Mumble, in Skype. I do realize that it possibly could be harder, considering Microsoft's Skype API recently shut down, but perhaps there is another way.
I could have sworn that "getBlockByID(int)" was a function in Block - or perhaps in GameRegistry, in forge. Is there any way in Minecraf tor forge to find a block by an ID?
- I downloaded the last version of this mod, following the link which is in the first post of this topic (1.6.4 version link)
- I didn't found "minecraft.jar", but I found "launcher.jar", so I opened it and deleted META-INF folder
- Then I added all the .class files in the "launcher.jar"
- I closed everything and then à launched Minecraft and I didn't saw any difference between earlier. There is no new button. I don't know how to use the mod.
I use the last Minecraft launcher, I play with the 1.6.4 version on a server which works with the 1.6.4 version (more stable).
Can you help me ?
Thank you in advance

Can that not be enough to be able to update? I am thinking not because you can't reobfuscate. Perhaps another way?
If he can't re-obfuscate then he can not update the mod - but we now know that MCP 1.7.2 is in development and hopefully won't take much longer to officially update.

MLP thing xP.
It would be a cool mod, not sure if too many people would do it, though

It does exist, but it's extremely unstable and can't recompile.
