only works with windows 7 however

I'm in the same boat, seems like we're surrounded by lillypads until someone helps us out. I'm searching the forums now but can't seem to find anything.

Im my excitement to play with the new additions, I upgraded before thinking. I play SSP, but I've recently played a lot of SMP, servers aren't always fast to upgrade! How do I downgrade back to 1.1? and how do I make a back up of the maps I have now?

Would the pigman burn when exposed to the sun later? if not i'd make a pen around him and keep him as a rare trophy.

if you want to back up your minecraft.jar (current mods) then copy to desktop

drag the new minecraft.jar into the bin folder

then it should work.

Do I have to do the force update after I replace the .jar file? or just open as normal?
EDIT: i may have a problem as when I don't click 'force update' It just freezes at the Done Loading screen and if I click Force update it puts the old .jar file back into .bin. sigh, this should be easier T_T

So I couldn't wait for the full release tomorrow, and I wanted to get some RC2 gameplay done tonight. But upon further headscratching, I could not figure out how to download the RC2. Looked in the wiki, looked in stickied forums, but I saw no guide for how to download the updates! A solution would be great as I almost deleted all my world saves fiddling around with trying and failing to update to RC2. I'm new to the forums here, help is appreciated! :biggrin.gif: (there really should be an easier way to upgrade/download the pre-releases and such, I was kinda surprised that it wasn't easy)
