Ugh! Trollsack, I have seen SO MANY hate comments by you, you should really just STOP PLAYING. I'm serious. Is there ANYTHING you like about the game? I have yet to hear anything about you liking the game.
Besides that, there is nothing wrong with creative mode. Ever seen adventure maps where they use this cool thing called command blocks? Yeah, they do things. How boring would maps be without command blocks? I remember the old ones, and nothing BUT improvement has come to the game.
OK. I would like to collaborate with you, but, I don't have a mic. I can message you on skype, or do something like subzeroextabyte. If that is OK with you, here's the link to mah youtube account: click meh
I'm still looking for collaborators before I do any vids (And a screen recorder :P).
Oh, one more bit of imoprtant information - My time zone is Perth, Beijing, etc +8:00 (So... I'm australian :D)
Oh god... this is another case of nostalgia and change. People just dont like it. I, for one, hated the idea of stained glass and horses (I know, weird, right?) but I learnt to love them! Banners were a bit negotiable for me, too. But still - minecraft will only be ruined by THEME changes, like laser guns, cars, space shuttles (By all means make a magic portal to get to the moon, but minecraft is more myth than tech - other than redstone.... you get what I mean...), etc. (cough, cough, tekkit! not that i dont like tekkit - its just no going to be vanilla... ever)
So my point is that if I of all people can learn to love the things I hate, you can too.

Fun Fact: water doesn't just spread to one block. it spreads 4 blocks out, so try your farm like this to make it slightly more compact:
water= '=', crop = 'o'

A: More block variety (If you're confused, look up some block variety tutorials on the interwebz)
B: Add some smoothness to the edge of the moat (again, tutorials will halp with this)
C: Add some trees/foliage (bushes with leaves, trees with saplings, or you could look up tutorials for custom trees, even make up your own)
D: Maybe expand? (Just do what you're doing now + the above)
Otherwise, it's a great build - the octagonal towers, the spruce lining - good job!

So this works on 1.7 and 1.8?
