I just want to increase my FPS with mods without making the game look like crap. I only have one mod but I can't keep the FPS above 10.
And I already said that I didn't know the name of the thread for this. I didn't have time to search for the actual forum and keep checking it every hour on the hour for answers.
It literally states on where you download optifine. Anyway did you get your answer?
Optifine DOES cause rendering issues but if you are lagging enough to crash then you shouldn't be playing Minecraft with mods. Most (not all of them are made right) mods do not cause any performance issues. The way they work is just like if Mojang added another block, they don't really do anything too special. If you would have looked it says how to install optifine.
Optifine edits the way the game is rendered. It can be advantageous with certain computers but not at all on others. Minecraft by default is made simplistically and doesn't really include any special code that is specific to some issues.
This is the one I normally do "- Put the OptiFine JAR file in the Forge "mods" folder
- Start Minecraft and Forge should automatically load OptiFine"
By the way you should be asking on that thread not really on a new one.
Hey I just came back to install your mod now on 1.6.2 and I see you added animated capes.
I'd really like it if you could let me use this feature.

Most of them personal and probably embarrassing even though everyone would do it. I shouldn't have brought it up.
I guess to answer it in a better term is to make a virtual sandbox universe game that has no limits at all. Though I feel that many people would probably get addicted because it is too much like real life and they can do anything. That's their problem. With that I would probably do things like test scenarios on humanity. Some silly like "what if we where made of rubber" others more weird like "what if every male on earth disappeared and all pregnant women don't give birth to any boys".
In all I have a very mental and weird thought process and I try to keep it to myself.
To the: "I would probably light everything on fire and break stuff for fun" that you added.
There is no gain whatsoever to that and I don't see the point. Not like it's hard to think of what would happen. I guess I just like to seek knowledge in everything.
Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 or this old game called Locomotion (basically transport tycoon). The Sims 1 was fun too. I didn't have that many games and was mostly stuck at a Windows 2000/XP computer.
Does this include anything at all? Even if not really physically possible? Well then unspeakable things that I would like to not mention. Basically the same thing if I had wishes. I'm smart enough to use them to their full extent.
Is there a way that we can full screen both windows?
I'm not sure why you would want this but I though you might be able to just full screen one then use the controller to full screen the other onto another monitor (I have 2) but this doesn't seem to work. Minecraft seems to just take priority over your desktop and all other windows just turn white. You might be able to but I haven't figured it out yet.
Well, I suppose the last few pages of posts is proof that you just can't please everyone. XD
Also, I specifically remember seeing a video (I think it was recorded at Minecon) of the developers saying that one of their goals was to re-write Minecraft in such a way that every feature, from minecarts to potion-brewing, counts as an add-on that can be enabled/disabled, so that mods can easily be implemented and not have to update for every version change. THIS will be epic.
(If someone knows where that video is, please link it.)
I've never seen that video but having the whole game basically be split up and being able to disable ANY THING and re-enable would be a god send. I can think of a ton of things that I would change back and if the server could push to player's configs that would be pretty neat. Hey and then Kurt could update ( that is if they add the fix that adds "ghost chunks" ).
Haha, I was just thinking that... and hoping that will be the case for my mod.
Hey I think I've seen your concept for your mod before. Just looked at it and it has some things that I feel you don't really need but others that I really like and want you to expand on. I feel that having your CDE will be REALLY REALLY COOL and that many others will love your mod (if you keep working on it and expand it in a its own direction like try to specialize it and don't try to have a "do all" mod. That's what happens to better than wolves which is why it only works by itself sadly).
Can't wait to get my hands on it and break everything!

Also it's not like when you google "Optifine" that it's the first thing.
Anyway ABANDON THREAD!

I guess he wasn't aware of the thread.
