Just wanted to say, I love the progress EE3 has made.
I don't really care that condensers were removed, more fun without them in my opinion, and I am looking forward to seeing how the redwater and other new mechanics work!
Thank you for posting this pre-release, already think that it is awesome!
I don't think that is too expensive, as being able to merge enchantments is a fairly powerful ability. Even repairing enchanted tools is powerful already.
Though I will probably end up mostly using it to name every item I use...
Perhaps bats could drop wings, which could be crafted with sugar (or vanilla, though I doubt that will be added) to make Bat Wing Crunchies? An item that heals one food bar with satiation little over a melon slice?
Perhaps the updates (and mods also) could specify dependencies? Mods could specify required dependencies, and give a warning if you try to run it without them? Maybe make it so you could only install mods without the needed dependencies if you allow it in the options menu?
Also, with all the talk of purple wheat, someone is going to end up making a purple wheat mod.
If they want to tweak the world gen, maybe add "Saturated Sponges" under the ocean, that would be darker colored and not absorb water. Smelting them could give normal sponges that do absorb water.
Otherwise, it could be a trade at an NPC village, maybe?
While probably unreasonab le, I think it would be amazing if we could get player heads that matched the persons skin! Also, it would be interesting if you could set helmets on heads as a storage device, That is completely unrelated though...
Honestly, this is a huge improvement. Fire is something to be careful with, what is the point if you can burn down two trees then the fire goes out? Now fire is once again a viable tool for destroying structures instead of spending hours breaking them down when you want to build something else.
The nerf to fire made it from something to be careful with, to "Oops, guess I'll need to replant 4 trees, oh no..." Fire should be something you need to be careful with, besides, have you tried to burn anything down? It could take more than an entire flint and steel for a single part of a forest...
Is fire's spread currently only un-nerfed in hard, or on all difficulties? If it only does that on hard, it seems okay (If they make it a bit less cpu intensive).
Invisibility potions would be a fun addition, especially for adventure maps with the new spawner flags... +5 Charged Resistant Fire Resistant Invisible Jumping Creepers of Greater Haste anyone?
