Found 27 errors in waterstrainer_loottables.cfg:
ERROR in line 25: strainer_fisherman|FISH|harvestcraft:frograwItem|0|1|50
Mod [harvestcraft] could not be found! Make sure it's installed and loaded.
It continues to list the other 26 harvestcraft fish and lootables after but I don't and have never used Harvestcraft. Is this a normal log that I can safely ignore or should I delete the mentioned entries from the lootables config?
This is great! I was expecting a new thread and was pleasantly surprised to find a new release as well! Its awesome to see this mod continue on and being actively developed by the people that loved playing it. I'd imagine Gwafu would be quite proud:)
I'm really glad that the mod had been combined into one jar but I see that the plan is to split it back up. Is there any way that you could also keep a combined version around? Gwafu mentioned before that the intention was to eventually just combine everything into one jar and use config settings to toggle features. I know that's a bit much so it would be great just to have a single jar for future releases.
so I decompiled the mod and fixed up some of the bugs (looking at a mob making things fullbright and the mob type icon being messed up). If the original author was around I'd send him the changes. As it is, I can't really send anyone anything. Here's a screenshot though! D:
Oh man! You're killing me here! That's great work. Its highly unlikely that the mod author is ever coming back. Any plans to perhaps recreate this yourself or even integrate it as a feature of voxelmap? It would fit nicely.
I love this mod and have really high hopes for it, but the pocket plane biome conflict really should have been addressed long ago. Its been a known issue for quite a while. Sure it is easily resolved editing BoP's config, but there should have been a config for thaumic horizons itself. A bug like that can destroy worlds and are terrible issues for servers that can't easily regen the world. Seeing this removed from FTB is a real blow to the exposure of the mod. I just don't want to see silly design decisions or easily rectified bugs be the death of this mod.

Unless his copyright allows for others to share it, the users of his mod are just out of luck. As his copyright does not grant anyone permission to distribute the unmodified files, then no one should be doing that.
We respect any reasonable copyright that a modder puts on their mods. This copyright is reasonable, and so we will respect it. It does not clearly allow redistribution, and as such, doing so on this site is not allowed.
Does it end up with cases like this? Certainly, Redpower was in the same boat (and still is really), but we respect and enforce any reasonable copyright, and this mod has one we believe is reasonable.
He owns what he made, so if he wants to take his work down, it is within his power to do so.
I understand your point and will obey. I would certainly agree with adhering to copyright requests put in place by mod authors, especially if the author chose to take down their work. The authors work is theirs to do with as they please. I don't see how the same rules could rationally be applied to an abandoned mod however and it is unfortunate that the Author's work fades from neglect and the enforcement of self-imposed rules. Oh well, thanks for your time.
EDIT: I really don't mean to pester, but after reading his legal section in the OP, I don't see anything preventing distribution of the mod at all, unless distributing a modified version of the mod. Wouldn't this statement from the note to modpacks section of the OP allow redistribution?

Or at the bare minimum allow us to post links to packs that already contain damage indicators?

Redistribution of content that you do not own is not acceptable on this site. Any discussions on redistributing anyone's work (including this very mod) will result the post being removed, and warnings for stolen content issued.
Please respect the mod authors and only download their mods from their servers.
I respect that, but I do have some serious questions. What does the community do when a mod author vanishes and their links to the mod go dead? Its been several months in the case of Damage Indicators, is there a set period of time to wait before distributing the existing mod would become permissible? I definitely respect mod authors but there is no way to download from their server in this case and it seems very counter productive to just let a mod that is loved by the community die out. There has been numerous attempts made to contact the author and no luck. It would be great if the admins could come up with a set of rules or guidelines to follow in the case of abandoned mods rather than simply stating to respect a nonexistent author and download only from dead links.

I understand your point and will obey. I would certainly agree with adhering to copyright requests put in place by mod authors, especially if the author chose to take down their work. The authors work is theirs to do with as they please. I don't see how the same rules could rationally be applied to an abandoned mod however and it is unfortunate that the Author's work fades from neglect and the enforcement of self-imposed rules. Oh well, thanks for your time.
EDIT: I really don't mean to pester, but after reading his legal section in the OP, I don't see anything preventing distribution of the mod at all, unless distributing a modified version of the mod. Wouldn't this statement from the note to modpacks section of the OP allow redistribution?

I respect that, but I do have some serious questions. What does the community do when a mod author vanishes and their links to the mod go dead? Its been several months in the case of Damage Indicators, is there a set period of time to wait before distributing the existing mod would become permissible? I definitely respect mod authors but there is no way to download from their server in this case and it seems very counter productive to just let a mod that is loved by the community die out. There has been numerous attempts made to contact the author and no luck. It would be great if the admins could come up with a set of rules or guidelines to follow in the case of abandoned mods rather than simply stating to respect a nonexistent author and download only from dead links.

If you use the patch from page 105, you can indeed use the latest forge and make alcohols without issue.
